What are pet dates?
Pet dates are for all members with a pet (not just singles). Pet dates are based on the many feedbacks you've given us. First and foremost, many of you wanted friends to spend time with that involves your pet. Either a run in the park, a trek or just hanging out over a coffee. Not a 'date' in the traditional sense. There are also many of our single members who do want a 'date', but want to meet someone who understands their love for animals. So to serve both types of members, we have included the concept of 'pet dates' into the profile and search engine. Members can now refine their profiles to meet their specific needs. What are pet buddies?
Pet buddies is your personal network of pet friends. This network is created by members making request to a network owner. Only with the owner's permission is another member allowed to join.
The pet buddy network is whatever you want it to be. There is no set 'thing' as to what it is. For instance, for some members, it is easier to send a 'pet buddy' request to break the ice. Or they may prefer to contact members with an existing network - knowing they are active on the site. How do I enable cookies?

Virtual Kiss allow members to flirt and test the waters before committing to sending an email. If you send a virtual kiss to a member and they're interested in you, they can then contact you.
You must have an approved profile to send a virtual kiss . Spend some time on your profile first, so the member you are sending a virtual kiss to can decide whether they like you enough to write back. How do I respond to a 'virtual kiss'?
First look at the member's profile. If you like the profile of the member who sent the virtual kiss - you can contact them via the email icon in their profile (you must be a premium member). If you are not interested, just do nothing. I don't get any matches on my searches. Why?
Try widening the scope of a few of the search criteria like height using the advance search. You don't want to be too picky now. Account Information
Is my privacy protected?
Is my email information ever revealed?
No. We do not reveal you email address to other members. Communication between members are done via our double-blind anonymous email system. It is up to each individual member to decide how much information to reveal in these communications. Will I receive anything through the post (like an invoice)?
No. To protect our member's privacy, we do not store your physical mailing address. How do I change my gender for my account?
Login to your account. Select 'Edit My Profile'. During profile modification, you will be given the opportunity for changing the gender. (If you have not created a profile yet, then it will offer you the chance to create one). How do I change my username?
Login to your account. Select 'Account Settings'. You can now make changes to your username on this screen. How do I change my password?
Login to your account. Select 'Account Settings'. You can now make changes to your password on this screen. How do I stop members sending me virtual kisses?
Login to your account. Select 'Account Settings'. You now have the option to disable virtual kisses. How do I close my account?

How much does it cost to join?
Basic membership is always FREE. Premium membership range from $6.66 to $14.95 a month. What are the different membership levels?
There are two membership levels - basic and premium. Basic membership is always FREE. Premium membership offers additional services. The following table list the features of each level. Will my credit card be charged at the end of my premium membership?
No. To avoid unnecessary charges, we do not auto renew - after your paid membership expires, it will revert back to a basic membership. I do not own a pet, can I join?
Yes. You are welcome to join. You do not have to own a pet to be a member. There are many singles who are pet lovers but not pet owners. Profile
How do I create a profile?
First signup for the site, by clicking on the 'join' option in the top menu. Once you are signed up, login to your account. You will be taken to the member's area. Now click on the 'Create Profile' to start creating your profile. Why should I upload photos?
Studies have shown that profiles with photos are viewed seven times more often then profiles without photos. By posting photos, your chances of meeting the kind of people you want are greatly enhanced.

To upload photos you must have a profile (see previous question on creating a profile). Once you have a profile created, select the 'Manage Photos' option.
To upload photos, click on any of the images labeled 'click to add photo'. You can now locate your picture on your computer. Once you have found it, select it and then click the 'OK' button.
Guidelines for photos:
- only GIF, JPG or BMP photos can be uploaded
- the maximum image size is 1600 pixels wide by 1200 pixels high
- the maximum file size is 1MB

If you have read all of the above and still need help, please contact us. How do I change the type of dates, for instance from 'dates with me' to 'pet dates', in my profile?
Login into your account. Select 'Edit My Profile'. You will be given the option to change the type of dates during the profile modification steps. Contacting members
How do I contact other members?
First you must have an approved profile before you can contact any members (see 'How do I create a profile?'). Once you have an approved profile, login to your account. Now use either the quick search or advance search to locate members. When viewing a member's profile, you can click on the 'email me', 'send a virtual kiss' or 'request to be a pet buddy' icon to contact the other member. I know a member's ID, how can I send an e-mail or contact this member?
First you must have an approved profile before you can contact any members (see 'How do I create a profile?'). Once you have an approved profile, enter the member's ID in the 'Search by Member ID' search box. When the summary profile is displayed, click on the member's id to display the full profile. Now you can click on the 'email me' icon to send an email to the member. How do I block a member from contacting me?
Login to your account. Type in the member's id in the 'Search by Member ID' search box . Click on the result to view the member's profile. Now click on the 'block me' button. Instant Chat
What software do I need to use the chat?
The Macromedia Flash Player 6.0+. The Macromedia Flash Player is a plugin for your web browser which allows you to view Flash content on the web. Most current web browsers come with the Flash Player plugin installed. If you receive a notice—when trying to connect to the live chat—that the Flash Player is not installed, you may download it and install it for free from Macromedia

How do I start chatting live with other members?
First you must have an approved and active profile. Login to your account. Now select 'who's online' to find out the members currently online and available for chat. Click on the 'chat' next to a member's profile and a message window will open up for you to chat '1-to-1' with the member. Can other members see my chat messages?
No. Messages during a live chat is between yourself and the member you are chatting with. It is a '1-to-1' setup. No other members have access to your messages. How do I know when someone wants to chat with me?
When a member sends you an invitation to chat, a chat window will popup. Any pop-up blocker software must be switched off for this to work. Do I have to keep the chat window open to receive chat messages?
No. When an invitation to chat is received from a member, a chat window will automatically popup. Any pop-up blocker software must be switched off for this to work. How do I stop others from chatting with me?
To stop other members contacting you for chat, login into your account and select 'Account Settings'. You now have the option to disable the chat. If you want to stop a specific member chatting with you, see 'How do I block a member from contacting me?' for information on blocking the member. I need help with using the live chat software

Tips to increase the chances of your profile being viewed
- Upload photos to your profile. Profiles with photos are viewed seven times more then ones without
- Make sure your zip code and city are correct. This will ensure your profile comes up in searches
- A high pet cutie rating will get your profile featured on the home page
- Humorous or fun profiles typically get more responses
Not getting any responses to your profile?
- Did you add a photo? Studies have shown that it will dramatically improve your chances of getting a response
- The more information you provide in your profile, the better
- Try logging into your account frequently, this will move you up in the search results
- Finally, don't just wait for someone to respond to your profile, start replying to profiles yourself!
