Starting up an interior redesign/staging business has taken up the bulk of my time recently...& my dogs are bored, & I may be developing myopia! We're looking for friends to expand our leisure hours. Several close friends describe me as a "dichotomy", so it may be best if you would just read further. If I & my "pack of three" seem like folks you'd like to meet, we hope to hear from you!

ABBIE is a 9 yr old Golden Retriever & a total sweetheart/cuddlebug. She's happy doing anything I want to do, or nothing at all, but she especially loves to swim (24/7 if possible) & retrieve "Western Fuzzy Ducks" (tennis balls). She's a certified therapy dog, & loves any/all she meets...unless you happen to be going after her brekky/dinner, or are a small animal on the run! FRISCH is a 5 yr old Appenzeller Mtn Dog - similar to a Border Collie in intelligence/energy level, but slightly more intense. He loves people of all ages/sizes, needs to be "properly" introduced to other dogs, & thinks Abbie (wimpy Golden) is just a bit above the rank of a sheep to be herded! Nicknamed "The Cute Brut" at his dog day care center, he can be the sweetest dog you'd ever care to meet.

Frisch: Describe our mom? She's a big push-over! Abbie: Yeah? Then how come she got you to "sit/down/sit/stand/drop/sit/stay" before she gave you dinner last nite? Frisch: I was just giving her what she wanted, & showing off my natural talent. Abbie: And that is why that big ol' drool grew & extended from your lip nearly to the floor in anticipation? Frisch: Well, I WAS hungry & I still think she's a push-over! Abbie: She just loves us both very much, & because we're both so cute, she can't help but spoil us. Abbie/Frisch: Mom's an independent woman, learning to not be a "push-over", mostly trusting, but very private, socially "proper" w/ an unexpected "wild side". She's also pretty good at maintaining alpha status in this household!

I am a woman seeking a man age 46 to 58

My "ideal date" would have integrity, compassion & a good sense of humor (meaning being able to "turn off" the humor in serious matters). He w/b socially adept in most situations, from white tie>fireside camp-outs. He would like(love?) both of my dogs & I his. Beyond that, I think simply being best friends, having mutual respect for each other is most important. Oh, & okay...he should be 6'2'', tall, dark OR blonde & handsome, willing & able to travel w/ me ALL over the world (as long as we find GREAT dog-sitters!)...in my dreams! But...EVER hopeful!

Abbie: I like other dogs, horses, cats, & birds in cages. To be honest, even tho I'm a so-called bird dog, I think they're pretty. And they're SO VERY messy when they eat...I like to clean up the floor/ground after them! I could probably even get along w/ a pet lizard, if properly introduced. Frisch: Geez, Abbie, horses? They're BIG, & they've got paws bigger than a Rottie's muzzle, & their toe nails are all meshed into one, & stronger than Mum's acrylics! I myself prefer the company of large cats & any...but mostly "working" dogs, especially any who track, herd, or cart as as a hobby/job.

Willie

Willie (Wills) the "weirdy Beardy". I didn't know you the first nine years of your life, but I heard tales of your hardships. I can only think that your final four years, spent w/ us, were far better than anything you'd experienced previously. You got some good times at the lake, earned your CGC, & learned to socialize. Who says an old dog can't learn new tricks?! We often feel your spirit near us, especially at the lake. We miss you but know you must be in a better place now. God bless you, my li'l Willie-bee.
