Wow - I had completely forgotten I had this profile online. I'm still single (by choice) and have since expanded my animal involvement, so to speak. I rescue animals for a no-kill shelter and currently have 14 cats in my house. My dog is huge now - 90 pounds and still growing. She's wonderful.

I found Misty on a whim. I decided to go to the Humane Society to see about donating some time. I had no intention of adopting anything but took one look at her, and I was in love. She was SO unhealthy - nearly starved AND she had a cold. She sneezed and it sprayed all over me, thus "Misty". She is the best - very sociable & cuddley. She brought me more joy and comfort than I ever could've imagined - especially when I needed it most. She even plays fetch! Lucy is a rescue that I bought as a friend for Misty. It was a very rough road at first as Misty was NOT happy about the "intruder" but they have finally become friends and it's adorable to watch them play. It would be nice, however, if they didn't get such a big kick out wrestling on my feet at 4:00 in the morning. Ada is our new baby. She is a beautiful Rottweiler that I got from a breeder when she was 7½ weeks old. She is absolutely wonderful. She was crate trained in ONE day, house broken in about a week, she is calm and listens VERY well. Her training is going very well and her disposition is just so sweet. Well, crazy me had to rescue Joey (a tabby kitten) from my neighbor next door. She couldn't afford to keep him so I took him to make sure he gets the care he needs. He is a RIOT. I should've named him "Bullet" - he's so fast. Penelope is our latest addition. The rescue agency from whom I got Lucy GAVE me Penelope. She is Lucy's sister and had been there for a very long time. I can't understand why - she is such a sweet cat. So........I think that's enough animals for me! ...........HA.........times have changed since the above blurb! That was summer 2006, now it's winter 2008. Oy!
