I love to laugh and make people laugh. I'm witty, and loyal and loving. My family is important to me. We are close, but no, I don't live with them. I'm the Vice Principal of a language school and I love it. I can't imagine doing anything else except perhaps being a spy, but that's another story all together. I love to travel, and have traveled and lived in Asia. I love to learn about people and how they tick and I am game for most things. I'm looking for a nice guy. A normal guy. I want a partner. Someone who is kind, funny, can hold a conversation and isn't afraid to be himself and let me do the same. I am also looking for someone who can love my pets. Non-pet people don't seem to get the bond that you have with your animals. I have the most amazing dog in my life. He's half lab and half golden retriever. Having a dog has completely changed my life. I am discovering the joys of a long walk by the lake and fun of throwing the ball and retrieving it myself! I also love cats. My cat Oliver passed away last year and I miss him terribly. I'm not ready for a new feline friend yet but I'm sure it will happen. So there you have me. I'm just the girl next door.

I describe Steve as an orange dog. He's 6 years old and half lab half golden retriever. He's American, from Atlanta and recently immigrated to Canada. His last family had to give him up and I was lucky enough to become his new mom. He is attached to me like Velcro. I was so lucky to have him come into my life. He loves nothing more than a scratch on the neck, a long walk by the lake or a few hours in the park. He's just plain old happy, but does have a few rules... Rule #1. No other dogs are allowed to steal his ball. Rule #2. No eating all of his cookies. Rule #3. No mounting from behind. Pretty simple. I don't think I would appreciate anybody doing these things without asking either! :)

Steve would describe me a loving mom. Someone that loves to snuggle as much as play at the park. There's a great quote that I read recently. It says... "I hope I can become as good a person as my dog already thinks I am"

Steve likes dogs of his own colour. I know this sounds terrible. I say he isn't a racist, but a colourist. He will play with dogs of other colours, but once an orange dog comes around, well, the other dog is dumped.

Oliver

Oliver was the greatest cat ever. I truly believe that he was meant to live with me and I was lucky to have known him. He was a big bundle of love at 25 pounds. I adopted him from the THS and he was diabetic. He was so good taking his insulin shots. He hated the fact that a "big dumb dog" came to live with us but he made it clear from the beginning that he was the boss. There was no way that Steve was going to outrank him. Even near the end, Olly was still the boss and Steve wouldn't walk past him without my help. I miss Olly every day and know he is still with me.
