Slave to the same job for 22 years and now looking to change my priorities in life. I enjoy an active lifestyle and love to travel, but miss my "girls" so much when I'm away from them. There has never been a time in my life that I have ever been without a 4-legged best friend...and normally always more than one!! I should've been a vet, but ended up a banker! LOL...go figure.

OAK is a 5 mo. old female AKC yellow lab...ALL PUPPY. She's still in the chewing stage, but that too shall pass. She gets great enjoyment using my house as her obstacle course. She has a great disposition,loves to give kisses with tongue, and is incredibly smart. (Chip off the 'ol block!) IVY the "lover", is a 4 1/2 yr old female black lab/cocker mix--- adopted from the SPCA 3 yrs ago. Ivy is the canine version of KUNG FU...and Oak is her grasshopper. Each day is a learning adventure.

We have the best mommy in the world. She cares about our comfort and safety...and we can't ask for more than that. She spoils us and makes sure that we live the good life around here. We enjoy our very own canine condo that's larger than her office! It's heated, airconditioned, with a full size bed, and nestled in the woods so we can watch wildlife all day while she works. She brings us in at nite to play, and then takes us to the river to get in a fun workout on her days off. We couldn't ask for more...except more frequent trips to the Dairy Queen for icecream!! She's the most loving human we know...and we love her back unconditionally.

Ivy's into the mutt set...she's happy with ANY dog. Thank goodness she's spayed! No preferences, as long as she thinks she's top dog. She plays well with others, and will share her food and toys. Oak, on the other hand,is Miss Refinement---preferring good looks and charm from playmates who share the same interests....if u can fetch and swim...you're in! She shares nothing. She will wear any dog down to get a toy or rawhide, and psyche them out until they give in!! lol

CHASE

My loving and ever protective rottie who died from lymphoma sarcoma just prior to her 5th birtday. She was a wonderful member of my family and endured 9 mos of chemo treatments---I just couldn't put her down without a fight and the chemo gave us some extra time together. She was raised by Abigail, and was only alittle over a year old when Abby died....she never really got over the loss of Abby, however she always made room for the her next roommate...Harry (an adopted & abused Brittany Spaniel) from May 2002 to July 2003 and then the introduction of Ivy in November 2003 and as fate would have it, both Chase and Oak happened to share the same birthdays...there is a GOD afterall.

ABIGAIL

Abby was the finest protector of my life. She helped me endure a time in my life when I needed something to hold onto and she was my world. As intimidating as her huge frame was, she was a teddy bear. Everyone loved her, and she was fabulous in stature and demeanor. So well behaved. She battled cancer and died at 8 1/2 yrs old. Once again, it was a decision to put her down that tore at my heart strings, but she will be forever loved. And I will never find another dog like Abby.
