I live in the mountains of the Eastern Sierra, bordering on the desert to the East, about 6 hours NE of Los Angeles and 4 hours S of Reno. I enjoy many outdoor activities that are not sports related. (I don't ski or snowboard). My favorite time of year is Autumn. I do not like hot weather. I spend a lot of time with my dog, she does not like to be left at home alone. I enjoy great conversation, I am considered liberal to middle of the road politically. I value honesty, integrity, intelligence, cleanliness, kindness and wit. I am even-tempered and do not get angry or depressed easily. I am seeking similar attributes in a partner.

My dog is an 8-yr old spayed female Border Collie below standard size. She is a maniac and thinks she owns the whole planet. Does not play well with others at first, but is okay with other dogs once she gets familiar with them. She is overly protective of me, thinks everyone is a threat. She is very smart, has a large vocabulary and is pretty much trained. Loves her toys, especially fetching tennis balls, which she always brings back (so that you can continue to throw them...) I am of Scottish and Irish descent and enjoy studying these cultures and listening to music and attending fairs and festivals.

My mom treats me really well, and buys me good toys, treats and food. I don't like it when she wants me to take a bath or get brushed, why can't she understand that I am a dog, not a human? Since my mom is by herself a lot, she obviously needs me to look out for her and I do not trust other humans very much. Also, she bought me a great minivan to travel in and I don't like people or other dogs to get too close to it. I know this annoys my mom and she yells at me, but I cannot help myself.

I am looking for a man who shares similar interests, whose pet is extremely important to them, who isn't so wrapped up in other activities that he has no time to spare. He must love all animals, not just his own pets. I want a man who is moral, strong of character and spirit, somewhat romantic, confident but not cocky, over 5 feet 10 inches tall & a few extra pounds are okay, has a good vocabulary, is not a picky eater, likes to read and watch TV,and likes the country and won't be freaked out by the fact that I live in the middle of nowhere.

Long walks more than once a day! I love the outdoors and getting in the water when I get too warm. I swim, but I would prefer just to wade. Lots of creeks where I live. I am sometimes playful with my friends, but it takes me quite awhile to warm up to that.
