Well, let's see. I've lived in the Chicago area for about a year and a half now, and I've lived in three different apartments in three different areas in that short time. I'm hoping to be settled for a while now, so hopefully I can enjoy more of a social life and less of a 'living out of boxes' sort of thing. I can be shy until I find that my weirdness is appreciated, then you couldn't stop my weirdness from coming out if you tried. I occasionally break out into song, and I won't claim that my singing voice is worth listening to (it's best to have the radio turned up really loud to drown me out). I dance in my living room if the occasion strikes me, I cried at the end of 'Charlette's Web', I play the occasional video game, and I like to donate blood [just mine, I promise :) ]. I had a wonderful dog named Little Bear who passed away about four months ago, so being around dogs is tough for me right now. I'm hoping to get another dog sometime soon, because the companionship they bring is hard to be without. Right now I'm living with my cat names Giles. She's sweet and a bit on the ditzy side. When she's bad I use her full name 'Rupert Dinah Giles' and when she's stupid she answers to 'Dumby'. We adore each other though and she's great at welcoming new people.

Giles is very sneaky, talkative, and occasionally dumb. She remembers things like the turkey that she got to nibble on at Thanksgiving, but sometimes forgets what she's doing in the middle of things. That in itself wouldn't be so bad, but when she's jumping and she forgets that she's in mid-air, she oftens smacks into things and that leads to laughs all around. Everyone who meets her calls her 'Dumby'.

Giles: My mom is pretty nice, giving me lots of toys to play with. She loves to cuddle with me though and makes sure to give me plenty of room on her bed to snuggle when we wake up in the morning.

Ideal date??? I don't really think there's an ideal date. I would like to go out and do whatever is fun and allows me to get to know the other person. Dancing, meeting for coffee, having lunch, seeing the sights, playing around town, whatever mood strikes us.

Raven

Raven was 18 years old when I lost her. She had been with me since she was a kitten and she is sorely missed. When I was in grade school, she would walk me to the top of the street and sit on the porch to wait for me to come home. If I went into a room and she didn't know where I was, she would meow until I called her name. She was my baby-girl and will never be replaced.

Tinkerbell

A month after Raven left this world my other cat Tinkerbell was lost to cancer. She was 16 years old and a princess of a cat. She demanded attention and could be a brat like no other. Named for the fairy from my favorite book (you all know the one...) she earned the name like only a cat could.

Little Bear

Little Bear was my little man for only three short years. I adopted him from an agency that specialized in older pets. He was 13 when he passed away, and I could have had 13 more years with him and it still wouldn't have been enough. He always made me forget the cares of my day; always made sure that he knew what I was doing and what room of the house I was in; always made sure that I knew that he loved me. There is a hole in my heart that no other animal will ever fill. I miss him everyday.
