Hello! I am a very compassionate and simple person. I love the outdoors, reading, sewing, walking, rollerblading, hockey, and hanging out with my dog at the park or at the beach. I just moved here from New York in October of 2006 and I love it here! The weather, the people and the pace suits me perfectly. I miss the city a bit, and I wouldn't mind visiting San Diego with my pet once in a while. I'm excited to explore San Diego and the surrounding area while I am living here.

My dog is a 17-pound chocolate short haired female dachsund who is one of the best things that ever happened to my life. She has made my transition to living in California much easier. She loves sniffing out snails in the morning, chasing lizards, cats and birds. I'm sure she misses the Brooklyn squirrels! She tells me what to do all the time, even when she's thirsty in the middle of the night and needs to get off the bed. She is also very protective of me, so she needs to trust people before anything. She also acts tough, but sometimes is a scaredy-cat!

Nena would say that she is so happy I understand what she wants when she talks to me. And she also says every time she wants something new, she growls and groans until I figure it out. My mom is a little bit of a pushover for me!

My dog would not be able to handle a cat unfortunately. She got scratched by one and ever since she's tried to attack everyone she sees! She likes all kinds of dogs, mostly dogs who are medium size like herself (beagles and terriers are her favorites). She loves walks and running around and playing, but she's a short term player because she's not a puppy anymore. She gets very possessive around food initially, but she gets used to the idea after some discipline!
