Why is it so hard to write about yourself yet I can talk for hours if you just ask.....ok I am an animal lover working in the corporate legal field and volunteering for the SPCA in my spare time. I would rather grab a coffee and go for a walk on the seawall with my dog and (hopefully) have a stimulating conversation than meet at a bar where there is just way too much noise and distraction (although a cold beer on a patio on a hot day is fantastic).

Sophie is hilarious. She is a 12 year old DSH that I took home from the SPCA after seeing her stuck in a communual room for 6 months. She looks like a pit bull and has no top teeth from being fixed up by the SPCA when she was found in a mess but she purrs 20 hours a day and can't get enough cuddling. She sleeps under the covers spooned all night and if I try to move her I get the look of death and a growl that sounds like an 80 year old that smokes a pack a day! Julie is the sweetest german shepherd that was declining at the shelter so I am fostering her until she puts on weight and is healthy enough to be adopted. She plays like a puppy, digging holes at the beach and bouncing around when she finds a stick. She is quickly learning the rules of walking off leash and will try anything I ask her to do. Smart cookie. She loves other dogs and other people and wants to say hi to everyone (she doesn't quiet understand yet that you can't just walk up behind them and sniff their bum to say hi, but she is figuring it out). She loves her current playmate Tuna but could always use some more friends!

Sophie would say that'her slave' (me) is fine except that I foster these annoying dog things that take up my time and I don't pet her enough while she is eating and don't lie with her enough so she can cuddle. Julie would say that I am the coolest mom ever and that she wishes I didn't have to work so we could go to the beach all day and dig holes and hang out with Tuna - her older dobie brother figure down the hall. She doesn't understand why I am always trying to make her eat but she'll do it cos it makes me happy.

Well I guess I wouldn't be on here if I didn't want to find another animal lover! If you are passionate about animal rights and love the outdoors and have somewhat of a brain, then we would get along. As for dating, I want to meet someone that is living for the rest of their life not just today. Someone that takes care of themselves and cares about the world around them and has the guts to stand up and say "that's not right!" Am I getting too picky? Prove me wrong!

If your dog has a smelly ass then Julie will like it! Seriously, she just wants a good wiff! Dogs will be dogs! She is very timid of small dogs but she has to get over her issues - I mean that yorkie that chased her was just nuts and she's gotta learn that not all little pooches are out to get her!
