You'll find me passionate about embracing each day as a "do over" and enjoying it for the simple pleasures it contains. I am very family focused (including my four legged ones) and devote my spare time volunteering to animal rescue and to my wonderful son when he is in Austin. I love hockey as much as I do musicals and have extremely diverse interests. I grew up in the country but can hold my own in the city just fine and while I can fix my own plumbing, I would happily turn over my tools in exchange for cooking utensils to whip up something fun and tasty! Ask me to make you some Cherokee Stew! My favorite thing to do on the weekend is throw at dart at a map and head out to explore, or enjoy the company of my many wonderful friends. I sing and love the live music scene in Austin. To be my friend, you'd better have a brain, or know how to follow the yellow brick road to find one, because I am not afraid to use mine. It is important to me to take the time to look through the facade of our daily wear and find the real person who lies within us all. Dozer and Candy Sue provide endless hours of love and fun! Dozer is not the brightest bulb in the box and I am quite certain he was a cat in a previous life. Candy Sue is wicked smart and thinks squirrels and cats would taste just like chicken if she could ever actually catch one. They both go with me to humane education classes that I give at local libraries and elementary schools. Dozer has yet to meet a stranger and Candy is as sweet as her name!

Dozer would tell you that I have the most comfortable lap on the planet and that I am a good wrestling partner. Candy Sue, ok.... I had to ask her... says that I am quite adept at belly rubs and wants me to please set out traps for those squirrels.
