Let's see...I'm a loving, warm individual who has a
sense of loyalty that isn't easily tampered with. I'm
very active in the arts, and I really enjoy learning/
trying new things. I'm patient and playful, and like
listening to people talk.
I've learned so much from my animals, and I just adore
anything that is fuzzy (or non-fuzzy:). I'm into rock
climbing and being outside, I find all of nature
(human and environmental) to be fascinating. Music is
a conduit to my emotions, and I love to express myself
physically.
I would really enjoy getting to know someone and
eventually get involved in a relationship, if the
connection is right, but friends are always great too!

Alaska, Peeknuckle, Zorba (belated) |

Alaska is the 'queen bee' in the house, but she is
incredibly loving and affectionate. She's like a
little bear, with thick fuzzy fur that she never grew
out of. She is gray and peach, I thought she looked
like an Alaskan sunset, thus her namesake :)
Peeknuckle is our newest addition to the family. She
is a little less than a year old, a 'sloppy-looking'
tuxedo cat. Alaska was very lonely after Zorba died,
so I decided to try fostering a kitty to see how I
felt. Peeknuckle was just the sweetest little baby,
and although she resembles Zorba, she has a different
type of energy. Alaska still rules the roost, but she
is not longer lonely. As for Peeknuckle (I swear, the
shelter named her!), she's been officially adopted, and
becoming more independent and spunky everyday. I'm
already in love with her. Plus, she gives great hugs
:) |

| In loving memory: |
Beloved Zorba passed away after a long bout with
cancer, in May 07. He was a beautiful little guy, very
docile and laid back. Despite his difficult life (in
and out of shelters 'til age 8, when he moved into
our home), he had a kind spirit, and never once hissed
or scratched the entire time I had him. He was a
trooper. He enjoyed the simple things (food, water, a
nice back rub:), and taught me a great deal about
patience and unconditional love. I miss him very much,
and I'm grateful he gave me a chance to love him. |
