Hello-I'm a 52yo woman who right now is living in what I think of as Hell(Tucson Az), because I used to live in Ireland! I love green, water, cool temps and the country. I'm moving to Connecticut in a few months so I would love to make some friendly contacts there. I love the outdoors in all weather except the extream heat. I am very laid back but can be a bit intolerant of stupidity, injustice and violence. Suffice it to say I would never have a Bush supporter as a friend! My requirements for a friend are honour, integrity, and honesty. I am oldfashioned but foward thinking, openminded but moral(not in a religious way)and nonjudgemental but I know what I want and like. Humour is a nessesity in my life. I'm obsessive with anything Celtic from music and pubs to history and movies.

"Bubba" is a 4yo Gigantic Jack Russel who is suprisingly calm and well behaved. He came to me when I owned a boarding kennel and never left. Who would willingly choose a Jack Russel as a pet! My 10yo Bearded Collie "Tess" who came with me from Ireland recently passed due to cancer. As soon as I'm settled again I plan to have more.

She's a wee bit of a loner. Likes animals more than most people but she would die for the creatures she does love. She's strong but gentle, leniant but takes no crap and loving but cautious. She can get sweaty and dirty with me but she cleans up pretty nice. Lately our life has been preety slow but I remember when I was a pup living in Kentucky we used to hike and swim in the pond and ride horses(she rode I just ran and barked). She has a lot of different sides to her personality so she's never boring. I think she's picky about her friends but don't tell her I told you. I also kow she loves me and is loyal and kind.

There is no ideal. I prefer friends who are similar to me in basic values but dissimlar enough to be interesting and stimulating. I don't think any one person can fulfill all the needs of another. I dislike being "joined at the hip" as they say because I like my solitude, privacy and enjoy my own company. Low stress/hang'n out, spontainious and not crowded is my ideal. I have a low torerence for loud noise, crowds and obnoxious people unless of course I'm in an Irish pub!

Outdoorsy, sniffer, runner, chaser, good manners, but above all no Pitbulls. My owner doesn't mind but I'll try to kick your butt. If you're a mix then I might give ya a break. Whatever else your breed I'll probably end up liking your owner more than you.

Tess - The gentlest, most well behaved, laidback friend. Tess loved everyone and everything. Loved the dog park and fetching balls but missed Ireland terribly. Loved to sit in the misty rain and walk for hours without crossing a road. Would hang out in the peat bog, bring home stray sheep and run away from cows. A true celtic spirit. I apologize to her for bringing her to this horrible place.
