Petite, slim, sincere, sensitive, creative, compassionate and down-to-earth with dry sense of humor and proclivity to silly puns. Formerly a chemist, I reinvented myself as a freelance writer. Eclectic interests include foreign languages, foreign films, ancient cultures, modern art, jazz, classical music, amber ales, N.Y. race-tracks, walks in any weather, people-watching, animal-watching, horse-back riding, dusting off my flute and practicing. I value all life and have a strong interest in wildlife, conservation and environmental issues. I adore equines, felines, canines, and just about any two-legged, four-legged, spotted, striped, winged or finned creature.

I have two felines, a mother and son adopted through a Siamese rescue organization who named them after oranges. Mom’s a “flamepoint” Siamese mix who took a little while to warm up but is now a sweet, affectionate girl. Mom’s got lovely blue eyes and loves to eat, and so she’s not nearly as lean as when she first arrived. In contrast, her kitten grew up to be a strapping, striped and spotted red tabby (with white chest and paws) with an incredibly long striped tail. Like Mom, he is affectionate, but in a more “up close and personal flop in your face” type of way. They have both flourished in my “sanctuary.”

The cats would say, "Our mom? She's a non-feline, probably of the human variety, but a very good specimen of this type. She's fun-loving, loving, affectionate, caring, responsible, and definitely not a snob! We love to play and frolic with her. She gives great belly-rubs!"

An attractive and fit appearance on the outside and a beautiful spirit on the inside characterized by intelligence, wit, humor, honesty, stability. A non-judgmental, communicative and sophisticated personality (but with the capacity to be silly and laugh - a lot!). Someone who, like myself, is physically fit, exercises, makes healthy lifestyle choices and has a sense of esthetics regarding himself and his surroundings.
