I can laugh about almost anything, believe that happiness is best achieved by keeping an open and positive attitude, and enjoy spending time with open-minded, intelligent, fun, active people. I am a returning student, working toward a second degree in Fisheries and Wildlife. My family members are my favorite people to hang out with (until I meet you!). I have a wicked sense of humor, but am a little shy at first until I really connect with someone - so spending some time getting to know each other is important. So are trust, openness and honesty. I volunteer some of my spare time at a wildlife rehabilitation center and am anticipating getting re-involved in dog agility with my lazy but adorable dog. While I am mostly looking for new friends, I remain open to possibilities if we "click".

Small, black mutt (pom/wire-haired terrier?) with a princess attitude. She has me very well-trained. On the other hand, she IS perfect, no bad habits: friendly, doesn't chew on anything she isn't supposed to, comes when I call her, no "accidents", doesn't bark unless there is a reason, and understands english (even when she doesn't want to admit it!). She has millions of toys, each with a name - and she knows every one (I think she may be smarter than I am). She is all things a dog should be: loyal, affectionate, and very loved.

My mom is very lovable but a little gullible. She is pretty, honest, loyal, faithful, and loves me to distraction, but I can usually outsmart her and get whatever I want. We like to go on long walks together but she keeps insisting that I learn tricks - what does she think I am, a slave? I am continually having to remind her of who is actually in charge around here!

I would prefer that he live within 100 miles of Corvallis or closer. I am looking for long-term freindships, am open to more if it happens. I look for the same qualities in a man as I value in any relationship: openess, honesty, integrity, intelligence, humor, and affection. I'm not really into "serial dating" - I would rather have lots of friends and if I become involved romantically it will only be with one person. I am more comfortable if you are the same way. Personality traits that attract me are a sense of humor, intelligence, open-mindedness; a positive attitude and honesty are a must! I enjoy bicycling, spending time outdoors, board and card games, festivals, and dining out, but also enjoy learning new things - as long as they aren't life-threatening (not an adreneline junkie).

Penny is very easy-going, lovable and likes most other dogs as long as they are friendly. She would love to have a dog-friend that she knows well enough to look forward to playing with. No romance although she does tend to become more fond of boy-dogs than girl-dogs (she was spayed at a young age and I'm not sure she knows the difference). She prefers laid-back dog personalities and likes to be the center of attention. She is much more "sleep all day" than "party all night" but loves to play. No worries about owner compatibility (Mom loves all dogs and Penny loves anyone that loves her!)
