I was employed in the veterinary/non-profit until this year and have been involved in animal welfare/rescue since 1997. I published my first book regarding the "real" world of animal welfare in 2006 and am currently working on a childrens book about my Great Pyrenees "Maximus" which I hope to have completed by the end of this year. Before I began working with animals I was in the art/jewelry field and still design one-of-a-kind works.I am presently working on a few projects that will hopefully be completed in the next few months.

Evie is my newest rescue and is an amazing girl who loves me! She has put on almost 20 pounds since I took her in last September and is slowly learning to trust people - although she much prefers dogs! Her name means "New life." Panda and Toby were two of my feline rescues from many years ago when I was working in a veterinary hospital in Phila. They are boys - love to eat, sleep and get kisses:)

My pet's ideal date, (Evie in particular, as my cats are content sleeping all day) is to run and play in fun and exciting new places. She especially enjoys the water and others who have squeaky toys to steal. So far, Jones Point outside of Old Town, Alexandria is her favorite!

Pasha, who was a true Husky at heart....stubborn, spiteful and with a mind of her own. She lived through three years of chemo with great spirit and donated her body to science so she will live in infamy.
