Geoffrey was a rescue from a puppy mill. He didnt know
how to play...because he was kept in a small cage.
People like this really chap my hide. His leg had been
broken and didn't heal quite right so he walked a
little crooked and sometimes with it crouched up. A
couple of months after I brought him home, I found
cancer on his chest. He was operated on...but I was
told it would come back. That was in 2002. In his
last year he went blind, deaf, and didnt quite know
where he was. So I couldnt move the furniture. I was
out in the backyard and heard scratching...he was
having a seizure. That Monday I had to take him
in...

Ghec was just a sweet little thing. A friend of a
friend of mine got her from a breeder...took her home
to her apartment without asking her landlord. He heard
the dog barking and it was the dog or move. She was
going to take the dog to the pound. My friend said she
would find her a home instead...and well...it was me.
She was such a delite. Always wanting to play or sleep
on my head. She and my Keeshond got along famously. In
the end she had pancreatic cancer and I had to let her
go. I cried so hard and I still do. She touched my
heart and just about broke when she passed. |
