Just a quick blurb... It would be nice to meet someone who enjoys the simple things in life such as going for hikes, camping, bonfires, a walk on the beach while watching the sun set... Also someone who likes to go to the gym and try to stay in shape (something I'm trying to work on!) Motivators and gym buddies welcome :) I like to go out once in a while with my friends from work where we tend to indulge and have fun on the dance floor. Ben and Cibo are my two golden retrievers - they are both lovable and keep me smiling. They love their walks which tend to be over at Bruce Pitt where they can run free of their leashes and actually get a good workout. In the winter we tend not to go to the Pitt very often as those annoying snowballs build up on their paws which seems to cause them lots of grief so our walks in the winter are usually limited to the neighborhood on the snowplowed paths. Nicky is my little fluffy grey cat. He is extremely affectionate and sleeps with me faithfully each night. My only complaint about this is when he goes after my feet under the blankets in attack mode! (ouch) He is the typical cat who has spaz attacks where some invisible being is playing chase with him! He's afraid of Cibo who has chased him a few times but he has his escape route planned out at all times. Keeps his life exciting and his jungle instincts alive :) That leaves Monty. Our unique addition to the family. He's a ball python/snake. I thought naming him Monty was quite original and such a brilliant choice on my part - until I discovered that everyone who had one apparently named their python Monty!!! He accompanies me to work periodically as the kids love to see him :)

What they would say... Ben...Bruce Pitt Please Cibo...feed me, then feed me some more Nicky...is it time for bed yet? Monty...what object can I get stuck in next? How they would describe me... Ben and Cibo...She is my Best Friend, dependable, affectionate, has a good sense of humour, but a little skimpy on the walks once in a while Nicky...she is cuddly and a good kisser and hugs me all the time. Monty...a little nervous of me once in a while when I resume the lunging position and try to bite her when she picks me up. But I only do that when I'm grumpy or she wakes me up from a good dream about when I'm with all those single female snakes I meet in the reptile bar.

My first buddy was adopted into our family when we moved to Barrhaven in 1999. Jake came into our lives when he was 2 1/2 years old after being rescued from an abusive situation. From the moment I met him I knew he was meant to be with us. He was a beautiful Golden Retriever who loved to be brushed and pet. He loved sleeping with me in my bed at night(had to get a king size to accomodate that!)and was the perfect companion not only for myself but for my son and my mother. He was a devoted family member with fond memories we will always carry in our hearts.
