I'm just an ordinary animal lover. I work at a no-kill
animal shelter, which means i spend a lot of time with
animals, whether i'm working or not. I take my dogs to
the dog park as often as possible. Other than my
animal hobbies, i enjoy writing (request url link to
view my poetry site), i love rollarblading in the
city, or hiking upstate NY, or just hanging out with
the cool people that i know. my pitbull, Sammy passed
away on April 22, 2005. he was only 9 months old. he
was born blind and with kidney failure. he lived out
the rest of his short life with me, and he was a
happy-go-lucky little boy. he is the pit in the
picture with me.

| low down on my
pet(s): |
Molly is a 2 year old black pitbull/boxer mix. she
loves to play rough with other dogs, and occasionally
body slams me when i get her riled up. she loves to
play fetch, run in circles at top speed, and swim in
the bay. definitely a water dog. she has the cutest
underbite that i just noticed a week ago, after having
her for 2 years. Petey is a 7 month old brown/white
american pitbull terrier (best guess). i adopted him
after Sammy passed away. he is a total goof ball, and
loves people, dogs and cats. he has huge feet that he
occasionally trips over. took him swimming in the bay
for the first time a few weeks ago and i got a good
laugh out of it. he doesn't know how to use those
monstrous paws of his yet. he loves to "stalk" molly
when she is fetching a frisbee or ball. he loves to
terrorize the cats, well, he tries to play but the
cats get annoyed. having 2 pitbulls in a house is,
um, interesting...if you know pits, you know how they
play, and it's like an earthquake in my house every
day. they both hog my bed, i wake up with back aches
every morning, but i'm not complaining :)
i love all dogs, but i'm partial to the bull breed.
they are so misunderstood. lots of people do not
realize that their true nature involves loyalty and
love. |
