Love me, love my dog! Simba and I are a package, but not all the time. The pooch needs his space too. As for me, I'm a paralegal teacher at the college level. I live in a condo with a view of the Cascades and WA State, but love to get out and boogy down on the weekend in between siestas. Simba and I just came back from five years teaching in Mexico and a year in Poland, and we're basically nomadic. My Mom has "penciled me in" to her address book. No sense using ink with me! I obviously love to travel and experience new cultures and will probably retire in Mexico. Update: Harley, a blue-point mitted Ragdoll cat joined our family recently. He steals car keys and eats eyeglasses, but other than that, he's a character to say the least!

Simba is a black male Standard Poodle who insists he's no "foo-foo dog", but can be a bit of a wuss at times, especially when confronted by the ever-present macho ginger cat in our yard. He's 6 years old, obedience trained, loves flyball and simply running on the ocean shoreline. He doesn't know he's been fixed, so he surprises himself sometimes. Harley, who is the devil in disguise, provides a little entertainment for us. He's loveable and vivacious. Just wish the love came at night and the vivaciousness during the day, rather than vice versa!

Who? My Mom? Well, she's a real hoot when you get to know her. She's blonde (this week), and blue eyed, tall and would really describe herself as rubenesque. But, hey! She really makes a mean pot roast, and that's the most important thing! She takes me out with her as often as she can, between work and her weekend boogies. There's usually music in the house, except for weekend afternoons when we get to have a siesta together.

I am a woman seeking a man age 52 to 60

My family told me I should find someone tall and rich. Well, that wouldn't be a bad thing, but top of my list is someone who is confident and educated and relatively cultured. Actually, anyone who would give a hoot whether I get up in the morning is a plus! Obviously, he should love dogs, although Simba was brought up with a cat, so he thinks they're just "little dogs". I am drawn to people who enjoy a laugh, and can giggle at themselves once in a while. Both Simba and I love to dance ... do you?

A walk on the seawall, a stroll though an outdoor market, a coffee at a streetside cafe where the four of us can people / dog watch, dinner or hot chocolate at home by the fire.

Bazil

Bazil, who was a shelter cat because his previous owners didn't want cat hair around the house, and because they refused to brush him. I was volunteering at the North Vancouver shelter, walking dogs, when I passed the "cat room" one day and Bazil's big blue eyes just stared out at me. Once our eyes met, I was a goner. Bazil had regular brushings, was loved for giving so much in return, and passed away peacefully in his old age after serving as Skipper on the Bowan Island Marina when Simba and I travelled to Mexico. He's missed by his friend Simba, but Harley has taken Bazil's place as playmate and friend.

Luna

Luna, the little tabby, lived with us in Mexico and sadly had to be left behind. Fortunately, she's not in heaven, but is being well-fed and nurtured by dear friends who love her very much. Nonetheless, Simba & I miss her too.
