I really like the idea of meeting and chatting with fellow pet fanatics. So a little about me... I live in the great white north of Canada (above the 55th parallel-- FYI the border to the US is the 49th) and have for the past 7 years. There is something enchanting about the north such as: northern lights out my front door 260+ nights a year; the phenomenally long summer nights; the crunch of fresh snow under your feet (Granted I could do without the -40 degrees nights and sometimes even days) My dogs are my kids. They still act like puppies in that they are pretty goofy. I don't want to be with someone who takes that spark away from them or who just tolerates them. I am looking for someone who understands that I come with baggage in the form of two hairy, shedding, drooling, barking (Dixie only-- but her eyes go crossed when she barks), farting,poking with their snout, crotch sniffing ( Zowie only) , butt sniffing ( again Zowie only), Scooby doo like talking dogs.

Both of my dogs are blue eyed babes.They are Husky Mixes... Dixie is a little more mixed up than Zowie. Zowie is the older(7 years old) of the two. She is the black and white dog in the pictures. She can be a dominant alpha female to her younger sister Dixie. Dixie (5 years old) is a gentle little dog who is a mix of everything. Not to sound Politically incorrect .. but Dixie is not quite right in the head... but damn is she cute. They both come from communities in the north where they practice a yearly event called " dog shoot", which gets rid of the "strays" in the community. They can be quite the handful at times but overall they are wonderful and I can't imagine being with out them.

I am basically looking for some one to chat with. Dating is sort of out of the picture because I live so far north. But who knows what could happen? it is the internet. I guess I am looking for someone who understands the love I have for my animals. I would like to meet someone who would be willing to get down on the floor and roll around..... with the dogs.. ;) Currently I am not looking to relocate from where I live unless the circumstances pull me that way.
