I'm just wandering around out here, alone for the first time in 26 years. I have a good job, nice kids and great pets. I'd like a companion, confidante, lover who is not into control.

Gunner is a Collie mix and the sweetest guy that ever walked on any number of legs. He has amazing empathy with anyone who is sick or troubled. We are training to be a therapy pair. Gunner spent three of his not quite four years in a shelter, so he is thrilled with his home. Sammye is a Chow-Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. He is my guard dog and protector and takes his work very seriously. He sleeps in the hallway every night so he can see all of the bedroom doors and watch over everyone. O'Malley is 22 pounds of Grey Tabby attitude. When he decides it is his time to be "mom's baby" all the others clear out of the way in a hurry. Jerry is a big beautiful Orange and white kitty who used to live next door. He discovered early on that we had "wet" food at our house so he became a regular visitor. When the family moved, they left Jerry, but I think that's what he planned.

Gunner: "My goddess, my queen, she who rescued me and feeds me great food. Now move over and give ME the red velvet blanket." Sammye: "Don't mess with my lady or I'll have to eat your face. But then, if she lets you in the door, we can talk if you have a treat." O'Malley: "Who wants to talk about her when we can talk about me? Jerry: "Hey lady, got a can of Fancy Feast in your pocket?And I'll take a good belly rub while you're at it!"
