| more about me: |
I am sexy and beautiful but don't think that I am; I
can swear like a sailor, but then be a sweet 'bring
home to mamma' type; I am not "cool"; I have a sense
of humor, don't expect you to pay for every date or
open all the doors; I can get along with all of your
friends. I am generous, attentive, sweet, playful,
goofy, loving, sincere, talkative, and smart. I don't
cook, don't want kids, but I love pets - probably any
pets. I like to pretend that I am pretentious, but I
am not in the slightest (though I WILL make fun of you
if you buy your clothes at KMart or JC Penny...I will
make fun of you a LOT). I am not up on world events,
not into the artsy culture-y stuff like foreign films,
and paintings that have no identifiable images. I love
warm blankets (when it's below 70 degrees). I am
trying to become a vegetarian, but I hate vegetables,
and PB&J is my FAVORITE meal! (no, seriously, it is).
I will do favors for you, even when they are really
inconvenient, and I won't complain about it unless you
are being a jerk. I've got a ton of issues just like
everyone else, and I won't expect you not to have some
of your own (but I will expect that we are both ok
enough to handle our own crap).

About My Pet(s) |
| |
| Pet(s): |
|
| Name(s): |
Julia, Ambi, Jeffie, Joshie, Elvis, Spencer, Megan... |
| low down on my pet(s): |
Sweet, sweet, sweet babies! I love each one more than
the next, and constantly tell each one "You are my
favorite!". I mean it every time, for every one. I
have lots of cats. I used to be involved in cat
rescue, but now just foster. Some of my fosters are
not very adoptable, and may never leave my house.
It's important that anyone who gets involved with me
understands that these are basically like children to
me - I won't give them up for someone. I am aware
that this is a lot for many people and that's just the
way it is. Hopefully, I will find an amazing guy who is
as compassionate about animals as I am! |
| my pet(s) would describe me as: |
Laura is crazy. Walking around here all day, talking
nonsense to us. First of all, god forbid she uses a
real name for any of us. And the petting....enough
already! We are fine just sleeping on the bed, in the
sunshine..and she comes over to mush on us. I mean,
she is nice and warm to cuddle up with at night, but
there have to be limits. Other than that, she is ok,
I guess. She IS a pushover, which can be very
beneficial. We would just like to see her find
someone nice (and tall and cute. She made us put that
in....). |

About My Date |
| |
|
I am a woman seeking a
man age
30 to
45 |
| for: |
casual dates |
friendship |
marriage |
relationship |
romance |
|
|
| my ideal date: |
My ideal relationship? I guess eventually, the
live-together, life-partner, soul mate type of thing.
But right now, I don't know if I am ready for that.
Right now, I am happy seeing each other once a week,
hanging out, and talking on the phone.
The "perfect" man - Sexy, smart, funny, sincere.
Taller than me. A man who can be tender, sensitive,
sarcastic, supportive, intuitive, silly, strong,
respectful. And a man who loves animals. I want
someone who respects the rescue work that I do and who
respects what I believe, as I will do for them. I want
someone who LISTENS. Finally, I want a guy who is just
a real person. Not on here trying to sound all
"intellectual" and mysterious, and arty, and all that.
Just be a real person, admit that you watch too much TV
and that most of the time, you are sleeping late, going
to the movies, or procrastinating doing housework - not
jetting off to foreign countries, doing extreme sports,
or being intensely deep and intellectual on a daily
basis. I don't need an overachiever (though I don't
need a "non-achiever" either). |

About My Pet's Date |

|
| my pet's ideal date: |
Unless I was in a serious relationship, my babies would
not be meeting ANYONE. Which, honestly, they are fine
with right now. Enough is enough, as far as they are
concerned! But my babies are all indoor-only, and
will stay that way forever. I LOVE dogs, small
animals, obviously other cats - probably anything. |

Pet name: |
Bogie |
|
|
| In loving memory: |
Bogie came to me as a diabetic 11 year old. I could
tell he had been a big boy when he was in his prime.
He had these giant eyes, and his meow was more like a
demanding bark. He loved to cuddle, but only for
about 5 minutes at a time. He was a very good boy and
I am glad to be able to love him for the last 2 years
of his life. |

Pet name: |
Hudson |
|
|
| In loving memory: |
I found Hudson in a bush outside a friend's apartment.
He was filthy, funny looking, and SO happy to find a
person! He had a horrendous urinary tract infection
for the first few weeks that we had him and he would
have died soon if we had not found him and cured him.
I wanted desperately to keep him, but already had 5
cats and my roommate at the time was not agreeable to
a 6th. I reluctantly adopted him out, which I still
regret. I know that he was loved by the family he
lived with, and by his kitty playmate, but in my heart
he was always mine. |

Pet name: |
Tracy |
|
|
| In loving memory: |
Sweet little Tracy was a foster cat of mine. She was
given up twice in her life, which I don't understand
because she was just the cutest, sweetest little girl.
Tracy didn't like other cats, but other than that
always seemed fine. She suddenly stopped eating one
day, and after a week of force-feeding her, I noticed
she was still dropping a lot of weight. Several vet
visits and one month later, she was diagnosed with
thyroid disease. She was given medication, but the
disease had taken hold and acted so quickly that she
had gotten fatty-liver disease before she could be
treated for the thyroid problem, and she died on
Thanksgiving morning. |
