I'm a warm, loopy, fun person, especially with close friends and animals. I immensely value loyalty; I'd rather have 5 close friends than a huge group of acquaintences. I moved to Virginia from NY, and love it here. I've retained my northern wit and sarcasm, and love to meet someone who enjoys this. I love the theatre, creativity in general, gardening, music, and outdoor events. I am more of a beach person than a mountain girl. I'm the Richmond event queen; First Friday art walks, outdoor concerts and theatre, anywhere I can bring my dog.

Dogs: Max (Male) - Border Collie mix - 6 Winslow (Male) Collie/Aussie mix - 1 year My Birds: Cockatiels: Bogey, Hawkeye,Phantom II, Spike, Tequila M. Byrd (Tiki),Larabird. Max is Mr. Needy - our favorite exercise is Frisbee, soccer, and catch (his choice). On the other paw, he'll snuggle on the couch for a good movie. All birds I've had over the years have different personalities; it's fun to watch the interaction! Max is The Dog Who Came to Dinner. This little safehouse has so much personality; we bonded instantly. Winslow was adopted 4/06; he's a sweetie I can take anywhere. Max will stare at a Frisbee or ball until it is either thrown for him or it levitates. I finally taught him to toss it back to me. Why should I have to fetch? : ) Max herds stuffed purple bunnies into the living room. All birds are rescues from various sources.

From the dogs - "She loves to laugh! She's just like us - superloyal, expressive, loving, and has a great howl. I like how she talks to me and my pals first, and then eventually notices the 2-legger that I'm walking. "Winslow woofs, "Thanks for having me as The Event Dog & Neighborhood Mascot. I love our adventures". Max barks, "She always makes room for me on the couch and is patient when I go wacky-dog. Way cool. She volunteers with a dog rescue group, so we sometimes have visitors to play with!" The birds chirp, "We love the branches on the ceiling. Life is good here. We don't quite understand why she likes us to perch on her lucky hat when watching something called the Yankees, but it's funny when she screeches during the game".

I am a woman seeking a man age 39 to 47

I am looking for a true unattached partner in the Richmond area. In many ways, I have very traditional family values. I'd like someone educated (college, grad school, post grad). My wish list? A decent guy who cares about his appearance yet is not conceited, is expressive and enjoys the same; someone who'll curl up & watch old movies and good TV, join the dogs and I on beach trips, and check out the cool Richmond events. I'm more comfortable dressing casually; and consider myself a 1970s low-maintenance type. I need to be with someone emotionally available (I'm unjaded enough to believe this is possible). I'd like someone financially secure and who's looking for a serious relationship, based first on friendship. I somehow still think my friends and I are under 30; I mean that in the best way. While I can be a couch potato after a hard day, I want to enjoy life with someone who is responsible and is still youthful.

Who knows? We'll wait and sniff this one out.
