My animals are my life. I'm involved with animal rescue & welfare and a lot of my time revolves around my animals. I love the outdoors, kayaking, canoeing, x-country skiing, gardening. Love a good mystery, classical & jazz music, comedy, building stuff. Like a good, intelligent discussion with a point. Not much on small talk. I'm vegan and can cook pretty well if motivated by an interesting dinner companion. Love Indian food...mmmmmmm. Very straight forward, tell it like it is. Don't believe in makeup and fashions. I like intelligent entertainment. Favorites shows: Frasier, Simpsons, and home renovation shows! I sing in a classical choir, was formerly a computer programmer but gave it up to start my own professional dog walking company. My vein of humour is sarcasm, delivered sans expression, so you never know if I'm serious or not. Keeps 'em on their toes. Oh ya, I'm highly opinionated too. I'm a real treasure... just waiting to be discovered by an adventuresome one who loves a challenge!

Lady is an elderly American Eskimo dog, adopted at age 14. She has lots of issues coming from her past including almost 3 months in a shelter. She doesn't like other animals or children, but loves her mom. Pooky & Zena are elderly bunnies with complex personalities, Punk, Sunny, Alice, & Betty are my other bunnies, Piggles, Snowy, & Ozzy are my guinea pigs and Ricky, Angel, & Baby are my pigeons. All were adopted from rescues and humane societies. They are my family and each one is special.

A loving mom, a little slow with the food! She lets us run all over the living room making a mess, so she's pretty cool.

I am really just interested in making friends, both female and male, who share my interests. But if I were looking for a date, it would look something like this: The perfect man is compassionate, shares my values and at least some of my interests, is crazy about animals and would be willing to go out of his way to help them. He's vegan, or at least a vegetarian learning about veganism. He's independant, has dreams and goals and can take a risk now and then, is environmentally conscious and has a brain in his head. He can't be too uptight about a clean house (go back and re-read how many animals I have) and is very handy with tools. I should be able to find him, no problem, right?
