| more about me: |
I am originally from the northeast but have been living
in my motor home and traveling around the country for
almost one and a half years now. I am playing with
the idea of opening a gallery specializing in fine art
and books about dogs. Therefore, wherever I go I look
for art galleries, book stores and dog parks. My
three dogs and I have been having a wonderful
adventure. Right now we're in Arizona and considering
Tubac as a place to settle down in the future.
One of my dogs is a retired guide dog. She's a twelve
year old yellow Lab. One is a seven year old, black
and tan German Shepherd who thinks people were put on
Earth to throw his frisbee. He is also a certified
therapy dog. My baby is a three year old black and
brindle Lab mix. I adopted from a shelter as a puppy
and he loves to play with other dogs.
I also have four human children (three boys and one
girl) who are, of course, the best and the brightest.
They live in San Francisco, Scottsdale, Ocala and
Boston and my bothers live in Nashua and NY so
wherever I decide to settle down, I'll be close to
somebody.
I'm looking forward finding some friends with whom I
can walk dogs, visit art galleries and go to the
movies.

About My Pet(s) |
| |
| Pet(s): |
|
| Name(s): |
Nacelle, Barratt, Tucky |
| low down on my pet(s): |
Barratt is 7 years old. He is a black and tan,
neutered male German Shepherd. He weighs 95-100 lbs.
I raised him for Guiding Eyes for the Blind, but he
decided that he'd rather play frisbee than be a guide
dog. He is a sweet affectionate dog who loves to swim
and play frisbee. He's great with children. Babies
can ride on his back, but older children are required
to throw the frisbee. He is a certified therapy dog.
He's great on or off leash unless he sees a squirrel or
a cat or a rabbit or a chipmunk or a deer.......
Nacelle is a twelve year old yellow Lab. My family
raised her for Guiding Eyes for the Blind a she worked
as a guide dog for three years. Her person died and
Nacelle came back to us. She is a people and tennis
ball dog. Sweet and loving and idependent. She loves
to swim and explore the scents all around and always
has a happy smile on her face.
Tucky is three years old. He is black with a white
star on his chest and a brownish/brindle undercoat.
He's very tall and long legged. He was abandoned in
Kentuck before he went to the shelter from which I
adopted him. He was extremely timid as a puppy but is
now outgoing a friendly. He's the one of the bunch,
though, who feels obliged to let me know when anyone
or anything approaches our residence. He loves to
play chasing and wresting games in the dog parks.
He's a happy swimmer and an occasional retriever. |
| my pet(s) would describe me as: |
Next to themselves, of course, my dogs think I am the
center of the universe. We depend on each other.
Nacelle: She feeds me and that's good. She rubs my
belly and brushes me, I like that. She makes me sleep
on my own side of the bed -- what's that about?!
Barratt: Oh, mom, she's good, she plays frisbee, she
feeds me, she takes me swimming, she makes me wait, i
don't like to wait but i do it, i do what she says but
oh, there's a cat, cat, cat, cat, cat, oh mom, yeah ,
she's good, wait there's the cat....
Tucky: I like to rub my face on mom's leg. She lets
me sleep in her bed. I like that. I have to share
with Nacelle. I don't like that. Mom gives good
treats and she brushes me and she give great rubbies
with the towel when I get wet. She makes me wear a
seatbelt. That makes me sad. Then we get to the dog
park and I REALLY like that. I want to be mom's only
dog.
If you ask my dogs to describe me, they'll actually
just talk about themselves and their needs. They are
dogs after all! |

About My Date |
| |
|
I am a woman seeking a
man or woman age
50 to
65 |
| for: |
|
| my ideal date: |
At this time in my life I am really just looking for
friendship and companionship.
My ideal date would start with a nice hike with the
dogs or a visit to a dog park. After we take the dogs
home we could get some dinner and go to a movie.
Another day, we might walk the dogs and then go to a
museum or some galleries or spend time browsing in a
bookstore. Another time, maybe we'd just eat at home
and watch TV, play Scrabble or read.
Open-mindedness is important to me. I value
integrity, responsibility, creativity and
individuality. I like one-on-one and small group
social situations. I like small towns and rural
settings. I prefer cities and crowds in small doses.
I'd like to meet people who are independent but warm
and open. I enjoy the company of people who are
outgoing but not pushy or controlling. A good sense
of humor is always a plus. I like people who are
active and energetic but can sit back and relax as
well.
Of course, I like nice looking people, but that is a
very subjective concept and often changes once you get
to know a person. Physical appearance is not my first
priority.
George W. Bush scares me. I abhor war and violence.
Personally, I am heterosexual and could never have had
an abortion during my childbearing years. BUT..I
believe in choice in all facets of life including
childbearing, sexuality and religious observance. |

About My Pet's Date |
| |
| My pet(s) is seeking a: |
|
| for: |
|
| my pet's ideal date: |
Barratt: I like dogs who will play tug with my frisbee
but not get possessive of it. It's mine. Otherwise,
as long as they do their thing, I'll do mine except
for the occasional, exceptional female who deserves
special attention. I know... "leave it!" People, I
expect you to throw the frisbee, throw the frisbee,
throw the frisbee, throw..... Oh, yeah, petting is
good too.
Nacelle: If you want to smell the flowers, and grass,
and bushes, and everything with me that's fine. Oh,
and the puddles, I really like to roll in them and get
dirty, how about you? People? They're good for belly
rubs and food!
Tucky: Run and wrestle with dogs. Run and wrestle
with dogs. Yup! Run and westle with dogs. Chase me,
please chase me! People - good to rub on and lean
against. Cuddle posts, I guess. Not so good for
running and chasing but hide and seek is fun. |
