I'm an empty nester, living with my beautiful aussie, Nizhoni-Tipsoo. Moved to a small cottage near the ocean and the tall trees while I wait to find a kindred-spirit, a life-mate who wants to homestead up north with me. I'm interested in a lot of hobbies, like to write, read, talk. I'm concerned about the environment, many causes and if I had a car, it would be a hybrid. A vegetarian, I don't eat meat. A young 60's, I am known as very sensitive, intelligent, a good sense of humor and I live by high ideals, family values and learn something new every day. Active and physical every day. No drinking nor smoking needed in my life.

Nizhoni-Tipsoo was abandoned with her 10 siblings at two weeks old. She was rescued by her foster mom in Georgia and at four months old, Marybeth sent her to me via Logan airport. Tipsoo was afraid of every single thing when she came to live with me but she soon got her confidence back! I had been very lonely since my youngest son left for college and I needed a 'furry baby' to need me and to take care of. We had lots of different animals through the years, but Tipsoo was my first puppy. She is 7 years young now, a beautiful tri aussie; tan, white and black. She can catch a frisbee in a wink, she likes to take long walks and snuggle next to me while I knit. We both want a man of our own now. Tipsoo would like to have another medium size dog to play with. As soon as I can move to a bigger log home, I would like to adopt another australian shepherd.

Nizhoni-Tipsoo would say that I take good photos of her, I take her for walks and we share most of our time together. She would say I take good care of her; brush her teeth every day, brush her and keep the hair to spin someday. She would say I work a lot on the computer, that I am a good cook, that she loves me and wants me to be happy. She would probably say she likes to play 'catch the tennis ball' with me. Tipsoo has a large vocabulary and 'treats' is her special word of course. lol

I'm looking for a lifemate, someone who shares my dreams, who would commit to our relationship, who would be kind, have integrity, be successful and generous. He would be a neat dresser, health conscious, educated, affectionate and have his own hobbies. I dream of a log home up in Vermont, living close to nature with a greenhouse for my exotic plants. A person who stands up for what is right, a peace-maker, an environmentalist with good family values. A spiritual person, not necessarily a religious one. Someone who is tired of living alone, wants a fresh start in life with me.

Tipsoo wants a friend to play with and walk with. Yes, it's important that we are easy to get along with. No ticks or fleas allowed! Tipsoo doesn't mind snuggling next to people. She is an indoor animal but likes to spend lots of time outside too.

Patches used to follow my youngest son home from school just before we moved to the next town. He was a beauty, large golden eyes, they looked like owl eyes, beautiful long, grey and white long haired cat who had been declawed. Patches was so sweet and affectionate. One hot summer day I noticed that Patches was having a hard time to breathe. The vet said Patches was older and it looked bad so I decided it was time for Patches to leave us. I cried all the way home with the empty carrier. Once home, after my youngest son came in, we saw a most beautiful rainbow, unexpected, the rays of the cloud shone right over our little cottage and we stood outside, in the soft warm rain till the rainbow disappeared and the hot sun came out again. It was a sign from Patches that he was ok. My youngest son gave me the biggest hug I ever had!
