My name is actually Yana, but Myralys has almost become my middle name. I am a Russian "single mother" of two beautiful furry boys. I also work and go to college full time. For recreation I like to take one of my boys to the park (the other one would not necessarily get along with all the other park-goers), and I hang out with my friends, go to the movies, and an occasional party. I love to meet new people, especially those who enjoy the company of all three of us, and maybe have "children" of their own that whould like to play with mine. Kolya's full name is Nickolas. He is a one-year-old grey and white cat of an unknown parentage. The shelter told me that he was found at a cemetery when he was about 2 months old. He is very independent, and it takes him some time to warm up to others, but he is a sweetheart. Chema's (better transcription-Choma)original name is Champ. He is a black and white Boston terrier and pit bull mix. A small pit bull with really big ears. He is about 1.5 years old, as far as the shelter could tell. I adopted him in February, so he is kind of a new addition. He is extremely affectionate to everybody, and loves to play with any and all dogs he meets. He is not an alpha dog, so confrontations are very rare (only if the other side innitiates), and even in that case, he usually walks away. Everybody who meets him falls in love with him right away.

Mommy is very loving, but strict-no means no. Yet, very fun to play with. She feeds us really well, probably better than herself, and likes to spend time with us. We would love for her to be home more, so sometimes we get upset when she goes to work. We think she is pretty, but we hate when she dresses-up, that means she is going out, and we'll be home alone.

I do not have a definition of an ideal date, if we are both having fun then it does not matter what we are doing. I think that respect, trust and a sense of humor are fundamental to a good relationship. It is very important that a person I'm with loves animals (all kinds of them), hense this site, I guess. I also like people who love the outdoors, and are not scared of a little rain or dirt. Appearance, on the other hand, is a very subjective thing, and I cannot say that I have a particular type. A person who is fun to be around, and at least relatively groomed, is someone I can be friends with and maybe more.

My boys are both fixed, so they are not looking for romance. Kolya, the cat, is good with anyone who is not too intrusive. After a possible brief period of hissing and hiding, he can play with just about anybody. Chema, the dog, loves all the outdoor types, especially those who like to run and roll around. Although he is respectable of those who are smaller, it is easier to play with someone his size. He does not care too much about toys, but if the other dog is too possesive of his or her toy, it could be a problem, because they might misinterpret his playfullness as an attempt to steal their toy. Basically anybody who is well-socialized is a good playmate.

Chara

My furry sister. I grew up with her, but unfortunately cats rarely outlive their human siblings. She was 14.5 years old (over 70 by human years), and was all black with two white spots-one on the tummy and one on the chest. Just like the rest of my family she was an immigrant from Russia, and I think she liked American food much more :) I really miss her, and will always love her!

Tisha

My sickly baby. She was obviously sick when we found her, but I didn't want to give her up. As it turned out, her heart was too big, an for such a small kitten it was an uncurable thing. I really wish she could have spent her last days at home, instead of the hospital, and I hope she forgives me...

Nameless

A little patchy-colored kitten who died in my arms on Holloween. I don't know what happened to him and why he died, but I will never forget him!
