I am easy going, quirky, creative and fun. I'm convinced that humor, affection and passion are essential to good health. I enjoy the excitement of novelty and the comfort of familiarity. I'm bright, intuitive, aesthetically aware, appreciative, insightful, curious and hardly ordinary. I have a love of the absurd. I'm an artist/photographer. I spend a lot of my time doing, looking at, thinking or reading about photography. I rarely watch sports except the U.S. Open and the Olympics, particularly gymnastics. Sammy's a 6 yr old german shepherd who's inteligence and perserverence has gotten her through some tough times (that is, before she came to be mine. She and I go to the park every morning where she loves to swim and chase squirrel and retrieve balls. (she may have a bit of a breed identity problem) Luke and Lola are very dog like felines as their breed (oriental SH) tends to be. They're both under 2yrs old so they are still pretty much in that big goofball, manic stage. They're big jumpers and there's nowhere they can't get to. Luke's a wiggle worm, always on the go, too busy to stay still for long. Lola's a big mush, very affectionate and soft, a nice balance to Luke. Luke likes to sit outside my bedroom door in the mornings and ambush Sammy as she comes out of my room. Lucky for him she's very tolerant and doesn't even dignify his sillyness with a response.

Mom always thought she wanted a weimeraner or a viszla but then she met me (Sammy) while she was volunteering at the ASPCA in the summer of 2002 and that was the end of that. She says that's just how love is. It hits you when you least expect it...you just never know. I guess she's a softy because I was a bit of a mess at first but she wanted me anyhow. I came from an abusive background (I was only 42 pounds at the time I was legally seized from my previous owner...but now I weigh a heathy 83lbs)Anyhow, she's doing a wonderful job in helping me to forget about that time in my life.
