i'm a 44 year old single female, sort of a hippie/activist type. privately i'm quiet, secretive, and mysterious. i collect unusal candles, i love coffee, indie rock music, plants, thrift stores, and nightligts (i'm obsessed,i have them in every available outlet). i live a very secluded life, i dont let too many into my world, but i would like to have one or two close friends nearby, which i dont have. i have an extremely amazing daughter who left me to go to college (1500 miles away) and now i have a cat! i despised cats all my life until a little over a year ago, i would cringe when they came near me and i thought they're eyes were evil. i always had dogs growing up and thought cats were very boring how they just look out windows all day. then i was enlightened, for reasons i cannot mention here or you would all think i was crazy (which i am, its documented, but i dont mind, its sort of an exciting life, haha).

my cat is the best cat in the world! i moved into this condo and i started noticing this cat out back, most of the time with a lizard in its mouth. for months i used to try to get it to come near me but he would just say "owwwwww" and leave. then once i fed him a can of tuna fish. he wuved (loved)it. after he finished the can he was still "owwwwing" for more food. i gave him any kind of meat i could find in the refrigerater and he kept eating. he was mine from that point on. he's an outside cat and is gone a lot, too much in fact that i got a kitten for myself last christmas so i could have one around all the time but capote kept attacking it so i had to give it back to animal services. he wouldnt share his territory. he's such a wild cat but also likes the domestication of a home. he sleeps in my bed but only at the foot of the bed. he's only sat on my lap twice in a year and once was during a hurricane. i buy him $8 dollar a pound turkey from the deli, he's a very picky eater. and it has to be fresh, if its a few days old he'll smell it and walk away, which amazes me since he was a stray. he wont even eat packaged meats. that's why i need some cat friends, i dont understand cats. i've been reading books about cat behavior but they dont tell you too much. i call him "good boy" because he's really not a good boy. he's a good boy/murderer. he loves playing with lizards and frogs and stuff and then when they dont move anymore he looks and wonders..haha. i love my good boy!

my cat would describe me as submissive to him. he took over the house and has got me trained to tend to his every need. of course i brought this all on myself bringing him fancy dishes of fresh turkey and bringing his water to him instead of him going to the dish.

my ideal date would be going to petsmart and looking at the cats. i would say the zoo but it's getting too hot in florida and i'd faint. what is really important to me is intelligence. i'm not the brightest bulb (haha) so i like to have somebody around who i can trust for advice, make me feel secure. i know it's some sort of self esteem issue needing that but at least i know what i need. honesty is very important, it's the base of any friendship or relationship. i respect and honor honesty. appearance is shallow; i'm interested in the person inside. i'm looking for a solid relationship with one person. i love to travel although i haven't in the last few years. i'm originally from massachusetts and have lived in florida for the last 6 years. actually i dont know where i would like to live, outside of new york city sounds nice, i have no clue why. i love the warm weather though, i dont know if i could give it up. but i'm not too happy with floida's appearance, i think it's trashy looking. my daughter said if i dont move back up north or at least to a "happening" place i can basically give up on her coming home too often, she hates florida. so i'm confused on where to live, she's my main reason for living and i'd like to be able to see her more often.

all there has to be is chemisty. i'd like to stay open with my views on this topic. people can be interested in different aspects of life but can also connect.
