Well...the reason I like this website is people who really like their pets seem to be nice and and maybe, possibly I could start a nice friendship with a great guy. I don't see ANY local (i.e. San Joaquin Valley, CA) members, but am willing to keep in touch long distance. I'm easy going, down to earth, direct, independent and a happy person who likes the glass to be half full, not empty. I enjoy being busy and am active in my community. I would love to have more time to travel. I like to read and I like to learn. I try to stay updated on US and world events, and try to sort through and make sense of what I read and hear. (This can be overwhelming at times!) And...I run a lot. Not neccessarily fast, but often. I like to do 10k's and half marathons. I did do one marathon so far, for the Leukemia Society through "Team in Training". What an experience!

Mollie is my running buddy - an 11 year old border collie. (She barely trots - I run). She thinks she is still a pup and is great to take on long road trips and loves to chase squirrels. She doesn't hold too still for photos though! The other three are cats...Maisie, Nickie and Zoie...mainly outdoor, except for Maisie who comes inside when she feels like it. And I kind of have a thing about pet names that end with "ie". : )

She treats us well but doesn't baby us. Mollie says: And she's kind hearted, except when large holes are found in 1) the lawn or 2) the flowerbed - when she tends to yell. Then again I know she is a sucker for sad puppy-dog eyes. She takes me running just about every morning, or else faces gettingthe before-mentioned sad look. We go very early so there aren't many people out - she doesn't want anyone to see her with no makeup and hair scrunched under a hat. What is it with giving us these goofy names that end with "ie"????

I can't describe an ideal date or person. But do know what is important: honesty, reasonable self esteem, ability to be humble and good sense of humor. Hmm...no couch potatoes either.

I guess Mollie would enjoy other dogs, but really loves attention from people most of all. She is always saying "hi", then coming back to me. Border collies tend to be one person dogs.
