I'm a NYC public school teacher, and I'm considering a PhD in special education. Between my job and my schooling, I haven't had time to really invest in searching for a partner, but I've just finished my master degree, so I finally do have more time. I own a horse that I love deeply. I stable her in Staten Island, and I try to spend as much time with her as possible. It would be nice to meet a man that has an interest in horses because this happens to be one of my biggest hobbies.

My horse is gentle and kind, and she would never deliberately hurt anyone. I've owned Storm for the past ten-years, and I still wonder if she will ever calm down under saddle. She's not a horse that a beginner would ride and live to tell about, and at 18years old, she still gives it her all.

Storm would say that I'm very devoted especially if I love something or someone. I'm caring, yet I can be strict if I have to be. I'm a person that receives respect from others because I respect myself. I'm quiet and not into large crowds or noisy places. I love nature. I sing to the birds when I go out riding, but I'm not sure if they're really responding back to me. I like to giggle and be silly, yet I can be very serious.

This isn't going to be easy, but I'll try. My ideal date will first have to be taller than me. I don't want us to resemble Sonny and Cher. He must be secure with himself, and not the jealous or controlling type. He should have his own interests that don't necessarily have to be mine. I like the quiet type as opposed to the life of the party. He should be a man that I would respect and admire. Being that I don't like bars; he shouldn't be a bar hopper or drinker. As far as looks go that's pretty hard to describe because everyone has something unique about them. I do find that I always look for the warm expression in the eyes and a kind smile. I don't plan to travel the world, but I would enjoy going to dude ranches, amusement parks, long country drives to nowhere, walks along the beach at night, museums, shopping malls, the race tracks, and visiting any state out West.
