I go to lots of live concerts as I love the adreneline rush of loud music, and while I love all dogs, I gravitate toward the larger breeds and currently own my second German Shepherd which I adopted from the rescue group I volunteer with. Love giving and getting massages?, cooking together?, road trips?, cable TV?, community service?, curling up by the fire?, stock car races? art museums?, science exhibits?, wildlife museums?, aquariums?, zoos?, musicals & dance performances?, bowling? exotic/ethnic restaurants?, rhubarb pie? Me too!

Indie is my 9 yr old German Shepherd. I adopted her just over a year ago from German Shepherd Rescue. She has some issues (who doesn't?) ;) but they are much more mild since she knows she will never be mistreated or transferred to an unfamiliar place again. She is okay meeting any human now as long as she calls the initial shots and can do the walking up which is pretty much guaranteed to result in her smooching whatever hand is extended to her.

I love the mom I have had for the past year or so. She let's me sleep wherever I want and takes me out for lots of walks...I almost have her trained just perfectly, but I can't seem to get her to give me the whole container of treats at once...yet. I like my space but let her do her huggy smothering thing whenever she wants.

My ideal guy is attractive, fit, sincere and someone I can laugh with. He should love all animals, especially dogs. He should be adventursome, playful, love all kinds of food and music and have a good balance of being spontaneous as well as being able to plan ahead. He must be a good communicator and listener, and be confident, respectful, dependable and know what he is looking for. After a gradual "getting to know you" phase, his schedule must allow time to spend on a regular basis, as well as for time for each of us to spend by ourselves for balance. He should think creatively and have a lot of interests, be health conscious, but still allow for splurges, and not be into drugs or heavily into alcohol. He should like to be relaxed at home, not be too obsessed with being neat, and like to sleep in on weekends...after I get back from giving the dog her walk, that is! ;)

I can make a bad first impression sometimes so I need a canine companion who is good natured and forgiving. I also have a history of addiction...for small feisty breeds and cats. They all look delicious to me but my mom makes sure I know I can only drool from a distance as long as I do not make any sudden lunges.
