Kaya = 2 year old Great Pyranese mix I picked up in my travels through Texas with my old dog (looks like a miniature GP) She was someones backyard mistake and the only one in the litter no one wanted, and the sweetest one of the bunch was going to end up at the shelter. She was mentored by my old girl who passed this year. Stella "Blue" is a 6 month old Pointer Mix - Brindle color and white, newest addition to the family, and makes Kaya so happy to have a buddy again. Shelter rescue. Had to "replace" (for lack of better word) a shelter dog with another. O'Mally and Nala are two Orange cats, one long hair, other short hair. One is a shelter rescue, then shortly after that a family of "feral" cats were dumped on me and I found homes for all but one, but she keeps the older rescued cat on his toes. And Taco is a Mustang QH gelding, semi retired these days... not much time for riding, but he seems fine with that (18/ 19ish...) I board him at a farm where he loves to lay around and be lazy... he actually snores when sleeping...

She let's us have fun, but is stict on manners, especially with other people, but she spoils us rotten at home. We love her so much for rescuing us from our previous situations and giving us a home where we can snuggle on the comfy couch, eat good food, run free in the fenced yard, and go for trips to the farm where we can run even more...

Hard to say... I don't have a preference, but I can usually get an imidiate "vibe" as to the longevity of a friendship when I meet someone face to face... No pressure, casual getting to know someone is they way I prefer to meet people, which makes it difficult because so many people tend to be whirlwinds. Laid back, but not irresponsible. Friendly and humorous but not the constant center of attention. Healthy but not exercise obsessed. Knows how to be active AND mellow. Outdoorsy activities are best, not smokey crowded clubs. Would love to travel summers with the pets and a camper all over North America(not at that stage yet, but someday.. I have summers off, but not enough saved up yet to get that going, or anyone to do it with.) That's a general idea of what I am looking for... Oh, yes... not a big small talk person, I know how to be quiet with someone and not feel stressed out by it! But get me going on an issue I care about... then i can talk up a storm :)

I have two dogs that travel everywhere and love other dogs that are not TOO dominant. They like to roll in anything disgusting they can find, chase things, wrestle and just run all over. At one point we had a BBQ and it turned into a dog party (7 dogs and no bloodshed... I call that a success)

My first dog since my childhood family dog. We went through SOOoooo much in the 12 years I knew her (she was 14 when she passed) she is truley missed. All that knew her loved her, even non dog people. I called her the American Shorthaired Black and Tan (rescue from a doggie death row by a Animal Rescue Force where I found her three months later) She was my life...
