I'm currently a vegetarian and have the basic philosophy of, "If my pets can't eat it, why would I want to?" So I've cut soda and junk foods out of my diet too. I definitely don't eat like a bird though! I cook big gourmet veg meals and buy tons of healthy snacks and fruits. Since eliminating the meat from my diet, I've felt much better and haven't had the urge to go back for a second.

I'm working as a school secretary at the moment but am moving towards a teaching degree.

Pixie was an abused rescue puppy who the vet said was about 4 months old. I made an appointment for her to be spayed. Naturally, a week before the appointment.... she went into heat.

Pixatra, Piglet, Joey, Josephine, Lara, Jimmy, Danny, and Jack are the results. They are a mix of the three dogs listed above. I brought them into the world with my own two hands and stayed with them 24/7 for the first few weeks. They just turned a year old and will be staying with me for life.

I also have two fish/snail tanks plus raise two species of earthworms for vermicomposting.

Yeah, right, guys! Really, I do spoil them but I'm also pretty strict. I hate to see people letting their pets run wild. Pets are our furry, four-legged children. Children need to learn manners and so do our pets. I believe in a loving but disciplined environment.

The ideal date? I'd like to do the normal "getting to know each other" dates in the beginning but a date that really shows effort and planning would be ideal once we know each other's likes and dislikes.

I'd love to find someone who likes animals as much as I do, cares about the environment without being obsessed, and really throws themselves wholeheartedly into everything they do. I'm also very open to non-traditional relationships.

Distance: If you're not local but just looking for someone to chat with, I'd love to hear from you. I'd prefer that anyone looking for a realtionship live within 50 miles or so. It would be nice to actually see each other occasionally ;)
