I am a former opera singer (full dramatic coloratura soprano - for those of you who are interested). I would love to sing again but I am working on an extended Master's degree in psychology and therefore have no time, it's extended because the program is really long (69 hours and no kiss) I have one year left to go of course work then I'll do my internship which will also take a year, once that's finished and all the examinations are over I will be half-way to a PhD and hold a lisence in school psychology - still no kiss. While I do miss singing - I have been fortunate enough to sing in New York City, Chicago, Nashville, Quebec City, Canada and Monterey, Mexico and have played two of my favorite roles: The Queen of the Night in The Majic Flute and Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor, however, I have also had many dreams singing was just one of them. I have been blessed to be able to do many things, such as getting a bachlor's degree in philosophy, becoming fluent in French, I also taught astronomy at a university. I've met some great people and have seen some wonderful parts of the US Mexico and Canada - one day I'll cross that pond that separates us from the rest of the world. Where I live right now in Texas I've seen a mountain lion and a lynx not far from my house, I regularly feed a group of raccoons and, watch the armadillos cross the yard while I look at the sky through my telescope. I love life, people, ANIMALS and love. Life has not been easy - but it's not been boring either - carpe diem!

Wolfie, Kodi and Katie are pomerainians. Wolfie is over 13 years old and is holding fast to his last tooth. Kodi and Katie are black and white poms and are basically identical, however Kodi is twice the size of Kate and they are not related. Katie wakes up at night and howls with the coyotes - it's pretty funny. Amigo is a 16 year old yellow naped Amazon that was my brother's, while she lived with my brother my nephew was about six months old so Amigo learned how to cry like my nephew - maybe I shouldn't tell you that. Her-B and the Texas Gang number 11 peach faced lovebirds, Her-B hatched in my hand and perfers riding in my shirt than on my shoulder. =/

Our mom is the coolest, she brushes us with that really neat-o brush that feels so good and gives good belly rub. But she uses all this psychobabble on us and she thinks we're not on to it but really whe just do it to humor her cuz she'd be pretty mad if it doesn't work when she paid all that money to learn all that behavior crap.

My ideal date is not caught up in trying to impress me, that just makes me nervous, although he's not a slob either, I don't really want to hear the alphabet recited in one burp. I also don't want him to think he has to read Nietzsche before a date so that we have profound conversation - profound conversation is more so when it's spontaneous AND mutually interesting. My ideal date has a good sense of humor and can appreciate my sense of humor. He's smart and confident and doesn't have to be the center of the conversation all the time, although he's not afraid of talking about the things that make him who he is. He opens my door but isn't threatened by my accomplishments or my willingness to open the door for him. He is also accomplished and finds awe in the minutia.

(The lovebirds all have dates - which is why I have so many the dogs on the other hand are all fixed except Kodi who will be one day - must practice safe sex. The last date Amigo had, she killed - so she's become a nun, it was that or prison.) Katie: (age: 8 months) my ideal date likes to spontaneously roll in the grass and jump up high. He likes to run fast and play chase, but not too rough - Kodi can play too rough sometimes. When we're finished playing we can dig in the water dish to cool off. But my guy must also be comfortable laying in a cool spot just resting. Kodi: (age: 9 months) my ideal date is a runner and a swimmer. She must like to dive in the pool after an exhillerating car chase, I think my mom likes it when I chase cars because she's always trying to keep up with me waving her arms and barking really loud - I think it's great! My date also likes to eat, eating is great! Sleeping is great too! Wolfie: (age: 13 years) my date is one who still breaths.
