| more about me: |
I'm grounded, content, structured but spontaneous,
curious, never bored (so you wouldn't have to
entertain me), am balanced, playful, patient but hate
to wait (lines, prescriptions, traffic), independent,
brutally honest, multi task (but not in the annoying
way), reliable, responsible, and goal driven. Friday
is my fav day of the week, am a home body, morning
person, liberal, realist, loyal and loyal friend and
daughter, and nurturing mom to my 3 fuzzy butts.

About My Pet(s) |
| |
| Pet(s): |
|
| Name(s): |
Phoebe, Rudy, Bodhi |
| low down on my pet(s): |
Phoebe is my ex'es sweet looking but cranky 15 y.o.
kitty who needs medicine daily. Rudy is my giant,
black, 7 y.o. prankster feline. And my reluctant
running partner is Bodhi, my 4 y.o. Isreali Cannan
dog. While sweet and fun, this pariah breed is quite
dog (sometimes child) aggressive. |
| my pet(s) would describe me as: |
Bodhi: I have 2 mommies, but my other mommy lives in
DC now. This mommy shows she loves me by sharing her
dinner, celebrating my birthday week, and practicing
what I learned as puppy every day. She's pretty
disciplined and keeps us in our routine as much as
possible. I'm the one she spends the most time with,
and is happiest to see. She talks alot, and mostly to
me, even though my feline pack mate Levi (who's 20) is
alpha kitty.
Every morning we get up early, before the sun even, so
we can run and play when it's quiet and cool. She
gives me Starbucks whipped cream off her esspresso and
people smile at that. We have so much fun, and we've
seen so many animals like fox, deer, horses, and
rabbits. She took me swimming EVERY day this summer.
She even took me in her kayak, but even with the floaty
vest, I was scared.
I wish we ran less, but at least I get to stand on the
Jeep console while she drives, and sleep on her bed.
She and my other mommy are best friends, and like all
puppies of divorce, I often wish they were together.
Mommy was a great girlfriend; playful, thoughtful, and
she made our family her priority. She's contented
being single, but I wish she'd find someone to love
her as much as me. Though I have been known to growl
potential suitors out of the bedroom. |

About My Date |
| |
|
I am a woman seeking a
woman age
25 to
45 |
| for: |
activity partner |
casual dates |
friendship |
|
|
| my ideal date: |
I'm looking to meet fun gay chics (or cool heteros fine
with my sexuality) to hang out with. I'm not into the
bar scene/lifestyle and most all my friends are across
the USA, or straight and/or coupled. Short of hosting
a gay "pot luck" at my place, there are few options to
meet women. So it would be wonderful to expand my
circle of friends, local or otherwise.
1st or 31st dates might include:
Paddle the Potomac at sunrise and get breakfast after,
browse a bookstore that serves coffee, check out the
Spy Museum, see a Mystics game, go for wings/trivia at
Damons, take a motorcycle ride through VA wine country,
meet at a gym and work out, hit a matinee and lunch
after, try a new Tex Mex place at happy hour, hike
Great Falls with the dog(s), go horseback riding in
Chantilly, drive to Annapolis for the day, get dinner
& see a play, go outlet mall shopping, rent jet ski's
and zoom, find an arcade and play videos....or we
could just hang out at my place -- Peroni's on the
patio, grill cajun salmon, listen to the Garden State
sound track, watch movies in our PJ's....or anything
you suggest. |

| Date: |

Pet name: |
Natasha or "Tashabelle" |
|
|
| In loving memory: |
This beautiful, playful, sweet, and talkative feline
brought 17.5 years of joy to our critter family. She
stoically endured the roller coaster of college,
career, and relationship change. She was a selfless
and nurturing creature until the last hours of her
life. She won a battle over cancer yet lost the war
with kidney failure one early Dec. morning. She is
survived by her litter mate, Levi, who is doing well
in his 20th year of life. |
| Date: |
3/23/2006 |
Pet name: |
LEVI |
|
|
| In loving memory: |
At 21, (equal to 103 people years), Levi was my regal
and beloved feline who succumb to aspirin toxicity as
prescribed by the vet for pain relief. [I hesitated
giving him the aspirin -- I stared at it on my
fingertip mixed with Fancy Feast. It provided
immediate pain relief but ultimately led to his death.
I don't know if I can ever forgive myself for being
the cause of suffering and premature end.]
He had been living with kidney disease for the past 4
years. Since Dec., although eating ravenously, his
poddy habits were deteriorating. I realized my
efforts to feed him 10x/day and clean his 3 or 4
accidents were helping sustain him. His quality of
life was still good and he meowed to go out [fenced
yard] almost daily.
I will remember him most for how he burrowed
in/cuddled every night and slept all day on my folded
bed clothes. He exuded confidence and a regal err. In
his younger years, Levi made everyone he met fall for
him. He knew he ruled my pack, a spot likely to remain
forever vacant.
A favorite memory: when a neighbor and his newly
acquired Japanese Jindu (fighting) dog were walking,
they came into my yard to see what his dog would do
around my cat. My cat turned and faced the
approaching threat (the Jindu later attacked my dog
and I 2x), and raised his back in protest. He showed
no fear and to this day, I'm certain NOT running saved
his life.
He was the master at reflex games and beat the
younger, stronger Rudy every time. He talked often,
and my fav was when he ran deliver cat toys while
throughout the house (and down the steps) mewoing the
whole way with it in his mouth.
As he aged, he spent most of his time sleeping and
cuddling. Still, he asked for whatever he wanted,
like standing at the fridge meowing for dairy
products. I know how lucky I was to have such a
rewarding relationship with an animal. I pray we meet
again, but until then, I'll keep folding bed clothes
for him. |
