| more about me: |
I'm currently working as a Dog Handler/Trainer for a
goose control company (yes, those guys on TV) and
recently got my Official certification as a trainer
through Animal Behavior College. I've always LOVED
dogs and animals, and this is the ultimate dream come
true job!!. I wear jeans, t-shirt, and a hat, and
Titan comes to work with me all day, every day. I
wasn't cut out for an office job, and I'll NEVER have
one again. I've also recently begun Falconry classes.
I want to do things, and though I love my friends
dearly, they aren't always up for being active as much
as I would like.. ok, never. I need a girl who I find
attractive (don't care what others think) and who I
'click' with. Obviously, a dog lover is a certain kind
of person, and I believe it is a big part of
compatability. Besides, I live with two to four dogs,
depending on new recruits for work, or just
dog-sitting for friends/ co-workers. I'm a hopeless
romantic, but I'm a guy too, which means I will treat
you like a queen, but I like to hang out by a bonfire
in jeans and a t-shirt too, haha. OH, and I just got a
kayak for work- told you it was a dream job!

About My Pet(s) |
| |
| Pet(s): |
|
| Name(s): |
Titan,Teddy |
| low down on my pet(s): |
The world's greatest Yellow Lab! This is my first of
the breed, but definitely not my last. Once I have the
time, (and room), I would love one Chocolate and one
Black as well for the Trifecta, haha. He's 3 yrs old
and I sort of rescued him, because the family he lived
with just couldn't handle a 9-month old puppy, plus
three boys under the age of 5 and two full-time
working parents. He's partly why I took this new job,
no more leaving him home for 11 hours, he's with me
all day! :D
Teddy is my new dog for work, a purebred Working
Border Collie, and my partner. He came from a breeder
(not my choice) after 4 1/2 yrs on a farm because she
didn't want to breed him anymore, so he was of no use
to her (what a loyalist, huh?), but somehow is
adapting to suburban life, and he LOOOOOVES chasing
the geese! Consequently, going to the golf course is
more like Oscar night- at least for him ;) He's still
shy, but getting better and more confident all the
time. |
| my pet(s) would describe me as: |
Mike is lots of fun and will do almost anything, as
long as it is not sitting in front of a TV all day,
although he does like movies a lot. I think he likes
being outside the best. He likes to laugh at me
playing in the snow, or when I get crazy and race
around the yard or house. I would like my Dad to find
a nice girl who will come out and play with us,
especially at the lake. He's not the most athletic
guy, but he's always up for doing SOMETHING. I can
sleep all day, but I'd rather be at the park or lake,
and the more the merrier. I think he really missed
having a dog, because I even get to sleep on the bed
:P |

| In loving memory: |
My best buddy! He was an 8 1/2 year old Rottweiler and
is sorely missed. I bought him the day I got out of my
Freshman year of High School at 8 wks old, and fully
expected to still have him with me today. However, a
weird cancer developed and he had to be put down. I
think that was the hardest moment in my life, even
worse than my grandparents passing away. My Dad still
cannot talk about it. Despite the ignorance of our
media, Rottweilers are NOT 'just born mean'. My
grandparents testified to that! He was a bit too
aggressive, but MY OWN negligence of not socializing
him properly caused that, not his breed. He dearly
loved all who he knew and was close to. |
