Hi there! I've been out in California for about three years, so I should probably stop saying I'm new here. I got moved out here for work (with a software company), and I lived in Austin for a few years before moving here. I was born and raised near Boston, and spent my teens and college years in Virginia and North Carolina. I probably have a weird combination of accents by this point! When not doing something with my dog, I like doing things outdoors like mountain biking and skiing (although I have not yet been to Tahoe...). I love traveling, and have been through Europe a few times. I've also had a chance to see India and some other spots in Asia for work. As long as it's not a war zone, I'm always up for going somewhere new!

My real name is Lady Halifax of Her Majesty's Royal Retriever Corps, but most people just call me Hallie. I'm a 4 year old Black Lab. I was born in Texas, and my mom and dad were both hunting dogs. I've never been hunting before though. I am a professional tennis ball bringer-backer, and love running after the balls that I make my dad throw over and over and over. I like other dogs a lot, but at the park all I really care about is retrieving. I really want to be friends with the geese that live behind my house, but I don't think they feel the same way.

My dad spoils me a lot. He comes home every day at lunch to walk me since we don't have a back yard I can go out to on my own. He also lets me sleep on the bed, although he tells me someday I may have to sleep on my own bed next to the human one. I hope that day never comes!

Well, since this is a pet related site, I think an activity with our dogs (or just mine if you don't have one) would be a nice way to meet. Just getting some coffee and going for a walk or taking the dogs to a park would provide a good opportunity to talk.

If you like to sniff endlessly on long walks, then we will have a great time together! My dad always complains that it takes forever for us to get anywhere on foot because I have to stop to sniff everything.
