I'm a generally nice and giving person who has also learned how to assert myself when necessary. I also consider myself an optimist, but that's another behavior which required practice to acquire. Most people consider me a funny person, and I love practical jokes. My education is in fine arts, and my work (usually) allows me to express such creativity. Being self employed, my schedule is very sporadic, which I've learned to love. I enjoy surprises, costume parties and absurd viral e-mails. But I also have my anal side; I'm an extremely neat and tidy person, and I'm carefully spell-checking this description as I type it! So the control freak in me likes spontaneity, so long as it's spelled correctly! Although raised conservatively, I am generally very open-minded and consider myself a spiritual person. Life amazes me now more than ever, and I have an intellectual curiosity that can leave me glued to Wikipedia for hours. And I try to enjoy the process more than focus on the goal (Wait, that's a goal in itself... Damn it!).

Casper is a rescued purebred American Eskimo dog and very typical of his breed. He had boundless energy and like other Eskies, matures late in life (i.e., he still behaves like a puppy). He's very smart, but still only obeys me when he wants to (or I tell him "now" very sternly). Casper would prefer to spend all day in my back yard, but since he's a watchdog at heart, the neighbors have protested his constant outdoor barking. And while he gets along pretty well with other dogs, Casper definitely prefers people. He'll jump on the lap of just about any visitor, even though he's almost too big to be a lap dog. Overall, Casper is a very happy dog, always beaming with smiles and eager for any new attention he can get.

Ruff ruff! I couldn't ask for a better owner after being rescued from a less-than-loving home. He gives me affection aplenty, and I'm a sucker for plenty of pets and tummy rubs. We have the most interesting conversations, where he says some gibberish in "English" and I look at him inquisitively. But I prefer to be doing active things, so when he's at home working on the computer, I like to sigh as loud as possible so he knows that I'm bored. My owner is also quite protective of me and my mischievous ways. When there's a large raccoon in the yard and I try to attack it, he won't let me. It's as if he thinks I wouldn't win a fight with a wild animal or something...

Overall, I'm looking for someone to have fun with. Someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously, but also knows how to balance their own checkbook. Someone who is honest; not only with me, but also with herself. Someone who can communicate with me openly and directly, and not be shocked when I do the same. Someone who likes to go out and try new things, but is also content to stay home and watch a movie. Someone who's figured out what they want to do with their life and is simply looking for a man with whom to share it.

Ho-w-w-l! I'm looking for another pooch to tear up the town with. I've had enough napping; I want hang with a hound that can go, go, go. I prefer other dogs that are roughly my size (28 lbs.) for a little canine boxing. I love walks, dog parks, and especially camping where I can sniff out the terrain and guard for intruders. And although I'm not alpha, I will let another dog know if he/she has invaded my space. My owner has convinced me that I'm the only dog in the world, and sometimes that goes to my head!
