Currently, I have a white New Zealand rabbit, about 12 lbs. rescued from a laboratory setting. I had another of these, but adopted it out to a family about two years ago. I had a minilop for eleven years named "lilbear" who passed away 12-16-07..a day that literally broke my heart. I'd had the little guy since he was two weeks old. I'm a former commercial pilot and had flown the little guy all over the country with me in everything from small prop planes to Learjets..probably the most traveled bunny in history! He almost always slept on the headboard above me or when he got older, on the floor on my side of the bed. He is still greatly missed. Long story, but he died peacefully in my arms and is actually buried underneath my home in the basement area. I can still go visit him whenever that way. :) I used to have black Labrador retrievers and would very much like to have another in the near future. All three were males and all named "judge". The meaning behind the name is a private joke I'll leave for conversation. ;)

First dates are usually pretty casual. I think it's hard to plan a fancy first date unless you've managed to get to know the other person somewhat beforehand. But, I really enjoy outdoor activities..hiking is cool. You can talk and it's a relaxing way to get to know one another. I'm more spiritual than religious..moderation is good in most things. I'm not judgmental, so self-righteous types aren't my thing. I'm a naughty man, and very open-minded, so I'd keep that in mind. I like the idea of travel. I've worked as a pilot, so I've seen enough from the air, both inside and out of the country. I don't do it for a living anymore, so I'd prefer to see from the ground. There are plenty of places I'd like to see just starting in the USA that I'm not determined to get to any foreign lands right now. I live in the city, but am actively working on selling my home. I'd like to move to northern Arkansas and live on or very near one of the large area lakes..a cabin on a lake would be perfect. I have a car and a 4-wheel drive I'd like to see get a little muddy exploring. Boating, fishing, swimming, hiking..I dig all of that..basic, simple stuff. Career-chasing..I've done my share of that..just wanna live now.

okay..today was not a good day. i looked outside and lilbunny, who was never really a domesticated rabbit, was laying in a funny position and awfully still. i ran outside to check and my worst fear was realized. she was dead..worse, she'd been cleanly decapitated. neighbors and i are pretty sure it's a tabby cat we've seen roaming the past year. they like to keep a trophy, so that would explain the head missing. i've now buried two special bunnies withing 15 months of one another. :(
