I'm a bit of a 'Doolittle'...a special understanding of
animals; dogs, cats, horses especially. Always have
been. I'm the guy who brought snakes, frogs, cats,
dogs, birds and bugs back to Mom when I was young.
I was a competitive swimmer throughout my teens and as
such, I love anything to do with water, especially
ocean water and everything in it. When my dog
eventually dies (that will be a bad day) I am starting
a new life somewhere tropical. Having lived in the
Bahamas when I was young, it must have affected my
blood, because I need warm sandy beaches, palm trees
and boats.
I have a very close relationship with my family and a
few very good friends. I like being social, somewhat,
but am more comfortable in small groups. Not big on
large crowds of people, although I enjoy going to
concerts and seeing live bands in clubs.
While I did my share of drinking and partying when I
was young, I really dislike being drunk, now. I don't
even like being around people who are drunk. In fact,
I hate it. A few drinks is fine, but I draw the line
well before completely sloshed. Definitely a time and
a place for celebrations, which I enjoy.

Maya is an 11 year old English yellow lab, who, like
most labs, is a walking stomach. She has a constant
struggle to keep slim! But we try! We've been
together and inseparable since she was a little
fuzzball and go everywhere together. Our favorite
places are beaches and forests which we both love
intensely... especially the smells! |

If Maya could speak English (she can speak, but only I
know what she's saying) she'd tell you how much she
loves her Dad. She probably wouldn't be able to
enunciate very well because of the ball or stick in
her mouth anytime there is something to be said.
Also, it's kind of difficult to concentrate on the
words when so much brain power is being used to wag
the tail! |
