My family genes bestowed upon me the logical, analytical mind of an engineer (my dad) and the creative, free-thinking spirit of a graphic artist (my mom); as a result, I have ecelctic tastes and a deep appreciation for the arts, especially music. At the same time, my ever-inquisitive mind pushes me to ask questions, seek the truth (I can't stand liars, cheats and people who look for the easy way out) and attempt to fix things when they break. Plus I can skate (ice and roller), cook and play the drums -- sometimes all at once.

In some ways, Zeke is the prototypical dog - loves to fetch the tennis ball, chases squirrels, barks at the mailman. But in other ways, he's more like a part of the family - baby sits my niece and nephew with me, his picture is up at my folks and my sisters place, and he attends all of the family gatherings. But best of all, he's done his part to make people smile - he and I volunteer as part of a pet therapy program at a local hospital. The staff always get a kick out of seeing him, and he visits with everyone from the waiting area to transplant patients in the Cardiac Care Unit. This dog earns his keep, no doubt about it. And best of all, he looks good doing it ;-)

My owner treats me like a king: there's always fresh water, lots of toys to play with, good eatin' every night, and I can sleep anywhere I want (but he just got a new bed, and it's too high for me to jump on, so I guess that's out...darn it). He takes me on long walks, especially at night, and I never have to wear that stupid leash either, so that's cool. I'd have to give him two "thumbs up" as an owner - if I had thumbs,that is...
