It's so cliche to say, "I don't know what to write for this part of the profile," but it's so true. I never know what to write. I guess I can always come back and change it. (I'm finally back to add some content:)) I love my pets. They are certainly family members that I want the best for. There is nothing like coming home to the love they give. But about me: I've gone through different periods in my life. I spent many years working/volunteering as a firefighter, EMT and Paramedic. Currently I'm working in the technology field. It's rewarding in a very different way. I still have a special spot in my heart for the field of medicine. I enjoy doing many different things. But I have to admit that after a long week of work an evening of sushi, the couch, a good movie (or tv show,) the animals, and cuddling with a great woman, is what I imagine heaven to be:)

Cat: Adopted him in 2001. He had been a stray. He had no social skills and some medical problems. Now he's healthy and very social. He has the loudest purr I have ever heard. People tell me to move him when we are on the phone:) Dog: Born on Tax day. Havanese, black and white. Been told by MANY he's the cutest they have ever seen. I have to agree:)

Oh boy... Well, Hawkeye would say I am compassionate, loving, cuddly, and a slave driver:) I believe in order and while I don't believe in corporal punishment, I like to know that he'll listen to me if we are on a busy street and get's off the leash. He'd also tell you that I leave him way too often, but trust me when I tell you I try my hardest not to leave him alone! Chance would say I don't give him enough food. It's hard enough to keep myself on a diet, but it's even harder to keep him on one, he has those cute green eyes that make me melt:) He'd also say I've got a soft arm/shoulder (That's where he falls asleep at night) and give a mean kitty massage.

Down to earth and real.... Definitely want to meet people who think of their pets as their children (not that I don't want human children also:)) Someone who has as much love and caring to give as they receive. Someone who understands that a relationship (whatever kind it is) is a two way street and each partner is equal. Honesty is an absolute necessity, even if being honest means it hurts. Openness and honesty from the start goes a long way to fostering comfort and I believe long term faith in each other. Ok, enough of the heavy stuff. How about meeting at a dog run or for a cup of coffee/hot chocolate? A walk along the water or in Central Park? Let's chat...

Hawkeye (dog) is fixed, so I left the romance out;) He'd like to meet some small to medium size dogs who are active and love to run around and play in the grass/snow. Chance (cat): Well he likes low key dogs. He's hasn't been around another cat since I adopted him, so I don't know how he would react...
