I'm kind of a shy person at first, but once I get to know you and trust you I really open up. I don't think that I'm like most guys, meaning I don't like sports and NASCAR, etc. You'll never find me in front of the TV on a Sunday afternoon watching football or some other meaningless sport. I'd prefer to be out enjoying the arts or nature with someone special. I don't hunt - I LOVE animals and could never do anything to bring them harm. I consider myself a very compassionate person, easygoing, caring and kind. I am NOT a macho man and I think that a woman should be treated equally and with respect. I love any and all animals and would do anything to help an animal. I've made drastic changes in my lifestyle for the benefit of animals and I would expect the special someone in my life to accept my beliefs. I'm into clean living and a healthy lifestyle. I enjoy dining out, shopping, taking day trips, listening to all types of music, reading, arts & crafts fairs, flea markets, films (classic comedies my favorite!), but most of all I LOVE animals! I like checking out new vegetarian restaurants. I also like to take day trips to the Baltimore/DC area, as well as trips to Philly and NYC.

My dog, Maisy, is a 9 yr. old Basenji. Basenjis are the barkless dogs from Africa. They are very silent, but not mute. They mostly make a "yodeling" sound, but only when they are happy. They are very clean, and never have a "doggie" odor (even when wet!). If you were to cross a dog and a cat, you would have a Basenji. Maisy hates water and does not like to get wet. She enjoys walks, playing ball, and running in the yard.

My Daddy is my best friend in the whole wide world. He takes very good care of me, and I feel like the luckiest dog in the world to have him. I love spending time with him, but I think he gets a little lonely sometimes even though he has my constant companionship. You should be a kind, considerate, and compassionate person who has an undying love for animals. You need to be a good communicator - not just someone who likes to talk, but a person who I can discuss problems with in a mature, adult manner. I love to talk and keep everything out in the open - no lies or secrets - so you should too. I'd prefer to meet someone without children, and I am not interested in having any children of my own, either. Other than that, I'd also like someone who I am attracted to on all levels - physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually, as they would be to me, also.
